Kind of sad El Guapo's in KC starting lineup for the final "put all the starters and 2nd-string in bubble wrap" preseason game.

You know damn well there is an underlying reason as to why people on this board question him. And its not so much that they dont see how good he is or question how good he is. Its that they want him to fail for, well, you know why.

No one is questioning his talent cause of smith. Again, not everyone is obsessed with that man. Some people thought mahomes got hyped too quickly, but after this year they won't have anything to say.

Agree on all but the last phrase. I agree that "Some people thought mahomes got hyped too quickly, but if he continues to play like this after this year they won't have anything to say."

It will be beyond legitimate argument.

Ya ppl dont like hype. But hes legit. Baring an injury, he looks like hes gonna have a long and great nfl career.

IF that is really the reason, that he was hyped too fast, all you would have to do is point to his numbers last year to show that the hype is warranted. And if you couple his stats with actually watching him play, I dont see how anyone could come away with anything less than what you, Gore and I have just said.

Think about how ridiculous that is. "The 1st year starter who won MVP by throwing 50 touchdowns and 5,000 yards is overhyped." He could be the most hyped QB of all time (he isnt), and after last season, it would have been completely warranted.

Besides the Niners, my favorite team to watch because of mahomes. Dude bombs it downfield every other play, with a high rate of success. Crazy stuff

His footwork isn't perfect. He doesn't always throw from a stable platform. He doesn't always use good mechanics. Needs better fundamentals.

To some, these things matter more than results. Obviously this Mahomes/Andy connection is so ridiculous nobody can deny Mahomes greatness. We do have a ton of posters though that dismiss results because a QB didn't achieve those results with perfect WCO timing and fundamentals.

Mahomes is right now Aaron Rodgers' spiritual successor, even with Rodgers still in the league!

He's a baller for sure. But he's going to have to at least win one game against the Patriots before we can truly crown him.

Right now, he's projected to have great success in the league and maybe win a SB , but he's still shown he can be taken down by BB.
