It's not all that bad if you have the proper clothing. It sucks when you get into the negatives though.

Forecast for the weekend of the actual game is already calling for about 10° with a negative degree windchill, and also snowing the day before game (which can happen there for 2 days nonstop). Even if the game is in a climate controlled stadium that's still some straight up b******t if a person has to be outside for more than 10 minutes. I mean is that really a fun way to attend a Super Bowl? I guess some bozo in the league office invented a silly rule that every team who builds a brand new stadium should host it within 2 full seasons after opening, geographical location be damned. SF should be in rotation with like New Orleans, Miami, Houston, Arizona, (maybe Atlanta) and LA after it's completed. Forget all the other stupid "we need to give everybody a chance" locations. Seattle thinks they need to host one but they can totally f**k off.

I wonder if Jed embarrassed us enough to have taken Levi's off the SB catering map, well that and our s**tty field.

I don't have a dog (pun intended) in this fight, but I wouldn't doubt that we'll see some fisting and quite possibly #DoggyStyle during the game

#NewEngland #Patsies #Philadelphia #Beagles

Nope, by all accounts that Super Bowl week got some of the best reviews and was enjoyed by a lot more people than some of the other ones over the last several years. The field condition was fine as well.

Whose accounts? Jed?

Oh, there were speed bumps this time en route to Levi's Stadium and the Broncos' victory over the Panthers. But the event's most important and critical elements — the game itself, the transport to Santa Clara on Sunday, security and crowd management, the $13 million raised for charity — were executed in near-flawless fashion. Almost everybody who witnessed the show, including that anonymous NFL owner, agreed that the Bay Area performed well enough to merit a Super Bowl return visit.

They did an excellent job in hosting a SB. Its entirely okay to criticize Jed for his missteps and admit that the organization did a good job in other areas.

Familiarity breeds contempt / a prophet is not without honor except in his own country and among his own people

Local Niner fans will assume the worst when it comes to Jed and Levi's....an outsider looking in with an objectively neutral view won't have the anti-Jed Levi's bias

Or one can say the local 49ers always assumed the best when it came to Jed & company...... It took him and his loyalist guards 7 years to realize he completely found a way to destroy a good thing...

Without Jimmy, we could be in a turtle race with the browns again and problems with the field still exists..

I have a feeling this is going to be similar to the 49ers vs SD Chargers '95 superbowl.

SD defense was supposed to be able to hang. SMH. Poor Eagles fans.

However......

Our defense was much better than both (Patriots/Eagles) best defenders combined

Also, that offense was way better than anything these teams will be dishing out (every position minus Brady) TB >>> SY.

Pats D is underrated. They have some major beef up front and can stuff the run. Started the season off slow but were one of the better defenses in the last 6 weeks or so.

Yes, their D is underrated and happened to play much better down the stretch which is when it really matters (especially in post season). The Beagles D is no joke as well. What I'm saying though is that if you get all of the best talent from both squads, they still couldn't hold a candle to the talent we had on D that season

Not so fast my friend... I think Pats win but barely. Should be a close game. All patriot Super Bowls have been close ones
Pats D makes the right moves at halftime and comes out in the second half with an advantage. They seem to focus on stopping the run and their secondary is shutdown when it counts. Eagles have to make Brady uncomfortable and get in his face. The Philly offense must control the clock and give Brady less touches.
