Behind a lot of guys at DT. 2017-2019 we had Buck who played 5 trillion snaps a game. In 2020, he got hurt. There wasn't much to go around in terms of snaps. I did want him to get more inside but it never happened and to get him on the field, he was played out of position at edge.

3 QB hits today and a Forced Fumble.

JL knew what type of player he was drafting all along, we just living in 2020.

I mean… he was here for 4 years. He had plenty of reps at both DT and DE.

He rarely got snaps inside. A handful per game spread across 4 quarters and rarely on third down. We never should've drafted him if we weren't going to adjust the system to suit his skill set, especially as a #3 overall.

In their defense they let him play DT a LOT! He just never got sacks or pressure and he had great players around him. Just strange he is peaking now after so many years. The Raiders have 2 good DE's but good for him. Pisses me off he did nothing with all the chances and time he had with us. We also had the best DL coach. So what the hell!?

We looked really good before his injury last year. Dont know why our coaching staff didnt bring him back on a cheap, prove-it deal.

You know if they did the fanbase would have hated them, so it was a lose-lose situation.

71% of his snaps as a rookie were at DE rarely was he an interior passrusher with Defo and AA getting most of the passing down snaps inside which was maintained as a staus quo up until the Defo trade. The one season he had an honest chance to get snaps inside as a pass rusher was in 2020 but unfortunatly he was hurt with a season ending injury during his 2nd game into the season logging just 49 snaps for this team....that's the same game that took out what felt was 1/8 of our starters for the year.

He was miscast and miss used his entire career here. Kid was a dominate NT for Stanford but on this team he was stuck outside as a DE for nearly 3/4 of his career here and was relegated to a run stuffer when he wasn't because Kyle and Saleh wanted to use AA and Defo inside. So the question remains whey did we waste a #3 overall pick on a guy we were never going to develop or use at a position he was most successful in college?
