So how many teams will have openings. I will go with 8. 25% of the franchises will be looking for new coaches which could make it tough for the Niners to get a top candidate. Maybe even 9 if Marvin Lewis goes.

HC Openings in order of Situation in my opinion

Denver - Elite defense, weapons on offense, potential QB's in Lynch/Siemian
San Diego - Only HC opening where the team has a franchise QB in place, very tough division though
Jacksonville - A lot of young talent on defense, weapons on offense, soft division, can someone save Bortles?
SF - High draft pick, tons of cap room to work with, division not as difficult as appeared to be
LA - Potential QB in place, solid cap room but if/when they re-sign DT Aaron Donald and CB Trumaine Johnson will eat a lot of that, division not as difficult as appeared to be
Buffalo - Very tough division, outside top 10 draft pick, solid cap room but if they re-sign Stephon Gilmore and Robert Woods then a lot of that space goes

Defensive head coach making changes. Not a good sign.
