I met Marshawn lynch tonight. I told him I was a Niner Fan and some idiot in the background yelled Raiderssssssssss and he yelled back f**k the Raiders! We were cracking up at that. I did tell him he was the most physical runner (with earl Campbell), he appreciated it.
He's kind of weird in the way that he tries to piss people off. He really doesn't give a s**t about anything it's pretty impressive I must say. overall he's pretty chill even though he's a seahawk. I really wanted to tell him that he was one play away from having the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl and that Russell Wilson has the biggest chokejob but I didn't get to say it.

Nice. Lynch would have been the SB MVP and Carroll wanted his boy Wilson to get it. Major backfire.

At the end, everyone is smarter. The truth is Lynch wasn't really productive in short yardage situations. If he would have lost a yard, the cheathawk fans would have complained about having not called a read option or play action fake. A Lynch run wouldn't have been an automatic touchdown. I have severe doubts he would have even gained positive yardage.

It was a major backfire, the worst ever. That should've been an easy pass for the little midget but of course he screwed the pooch.

I agree.
There was some good analysis on a local Patriots sports show with Belichick that showed Lynch getting stopped in short yardage maybe two drives prior. The way the Patriots specifically attacked that formation was repeated I believe for the final play. People forget that the Seahawks lined up in 11 personnel on the final play (1 RB/1 TE, 3 WR) but instead of facing nickel defense they faced goal line - the Patriots only lined up 3 DBs on that play and the other 8 were DL/LB lined up tight on the LOS. Running the ball out of 11 successfully requires facing nickel not goal line....
I feel like nobody ever cared to recall the scenario the Seahawks were in. Only *1* timeout remaining, 2nd and goal from the one....in a nice controlled relaxed atmosphere playing out that scenario, the best thing to do is a run/pass option play where either the ball is thrown away or you score the winning touchdown. In case you fail, now you have two downs to punch it in any way you want to with the timeout at your avail.
Passing the ball, NOT running, was the correct decision. Now had Belichick called timeout as many coaches would have in that scenario, then sure, you can line up a good power running play and go at it *3* times in a row if you had to.
The game was seemingly lost on *2* time outs called on that final drive. Just think that a few minutes prior, the Seahawks had all of their timeouts, and for some reason they called 2 on that drive. The second one I believe was after the miracle Kearse catch, but the first one I don't remember why it was called.

Cool story! Wish you could have gotten that dig on Wilson in.....LOL.
You know if I ever meet Sherman, it's definitely going down.

Thanks JT! I knew of all people you would appreciate how heartbroken I was not to get that dig on the midget.
At least we were right about him not being able to go through progressions that well and the other points that we argued about his limitations. I have rarely seen a quarterback so reliant on their defense in those couple of years they were great, very telling stat was when he could not win when his defense gave up more than 24 points. He Finally broke that curse after what the 15th try but that was more because of their defense again making a play, big Ben is such a prick throwing so many unnecessary ints.
Stay safe and take care

Haha the best was Lynch telling that loser to F the Raiders. That was classic.

They're one injury away from a 5-11 type season. If willow gets a season-ending injury early, they could be a 2-14 type team.

No doubt, you know that I will always fight this good fight. I hope the citizens of .NET frequent this thread to know that we have had their chosen son in our cross hairs for 7 seasons now. Yes, a broken clock is right twice a day with regards to winning games where the defense gives up 24+......changes nothing.
Now that their possession guy Baldwin is done, it's gonna be all on Lockett and the bodybuilder rookie at WR. Possibly some good deep threats which the midget is decent at, but they have no one who can fight for the ball over the middle and on tough routes. I think if DCs remove those two deep threats, Wicket will struggle hard. It's possible we come to find out that Baldwin was really one of the unsung heroes of the Seahawk franchise of late.
Can't wait for the 49ers to play those guys. The Wilson winning streak was broken in December but will now convert to a losing streak........about f'n time.

I much prefer they go 5-11 with Wilson than 2-14 without.....for one it would help cement what Elguapo and I have been talking about, whereas going 2-14 without him would lead to similar excuses that we've had to give the Niners in recent years (would be absolutely reasonable).

Agree with all that...
The D would take a big hit if Wagner went down or if they lose their best pass rusher. They aren't deep anymore and the new guys aren't anywhere close. The offense isn't good enough for a shoot out, they'll have to rely more on the run game. We're sweeping them.

Perfectly said, couldn't agree more.
As long as the 49ers defense can consistently shut down the run game and put Wilson in 3rd and long, it will be very difficult for them to move the ball on our team.
I don't want to get ahead of myself, but remember how the Rams under Fisher had their # defensively, just smothering them? I think we have a shot at seeing that with our team. If the Seahawk fans keep claiming their OL is garbage, then there's no way they'll be able to block all of our guys.

I know right, and I thought he wanted to play for the Raiders forever and when he got his wish and I guess David Car and John Gruden were too much to deal with
