Us changing players positions has to stop, like ASAP.

NOT a bad idea.. heck, we had some guy name Looney or Loomey, and he too kept getting injured w/our team.. next thing you know he's the starting center for the Cowboys...

Garnett is not a bad player, he's just been injured..

iirc they were giving him reps at center towards the end of the year. I'm guessing the thought was for him to be able to back up all the interior positions till his rookie contract is up.

Then bye bye.

Got a bit of a charge out of watching him scrap with Donald last season to be honest though.

He's got talent but he is made of glass.

Seriously? The center is perhaps the most important position on the O line and you want Garnett to give it a try out there? He cannot even cut it as a G. I don't want him on the team at all. He is a massive liability. The sooner Lynch cut ties with him and Tomlinson, the better the interior of the o line will play.

Some people wanted Trent Brown gone but some of these people want to keep Garnett and give him more opportunities?

I think he could. He's a smart guy and when he's actually healthy and played he looked better than anyone will give him credit for. If he hadn't gotten hurt in the Detroit game when he came in for Person, he'd still be considered the starter.

Man you hate Garnett eh? Talent isn't the issue...health has been the real issue
Cowboys had him graded as a 3rd rounder, and Baalke the genius had him graded as a 1st rounder. Cowboys definitely understand o-line talent better than we do.

No. Its talent. He cannot run block or pass block. But luckily he hasnt seen the field because hes easily the worst o lineman that the 49ers have.

He was widely considered an early 2nd rounder. Word is the Seahawks were planning on taking him in the 1st.

So he just forgot how to do that once he left Stanford?? It has nothing to do with injuries gotcha

the seahawks are garbage at taking OL too, and only improved this year because they stole away Mike Solari from us who is a top tier OL coach.

Its because hes playing against men, not little boys that the pac 12 has to offer. Hell, even in standord, his pass protection wasnt that great.

lesson learned. We should never take a linemen from the pac-12 again. It hasn't worked out for us at all. In fact, its been extremely awful.

great point, sometimes the injury excuses are just a little to much of a nice built in excuse for just plain poor play
