The Santa Clara Police Department has now offered up those details. They announced via Twitter that Smith was arrested for hit and run, DUI and vandalism on Thursday night. No further information about the incident that led to the arrest was released, but a press release is expected later this morning.

I don't want to rush to judge, but all of those charges are usually slam dunks. If he did it (especially the hit and run), he doesn't deserve to get millions to [play this game. If anything, Niner fans should be grateful Baalke got him to take the pay-as-you-go restructure this year.

Eli already has a HUGE chip on his shoulder. He's going to be foaming at the mouth now. He has a chance to be "the man" and we could have a very good pass rusher on the cheap for 4 years and a gazillion dollars in cap space.

THIS! Now I hope Harold is everything we hoped he was, Lynch can get his ass (hammy, actually) in shape, and Lemon has learned a move other than speed rush. Won't be mad if Marcus Rish displaces him, but that guy needs to put on about 20 lbs.
