ORANGE, Ohio -- Quentin Groves, who was recently signed as a linebacker by the Cleveland Browns, was arrested on a charge of soliciting an undercover policewoman for prostitution.
Orange police said on April 17 Groves responded to an advertisement placed by police that offering prostitution services. A female officer from Beachwood posed as an escort and set up dates with men willing to pay for sex.
"(Groves) made arrangements for certain acts ... and requested 'full service' and stated he would bring condoms," according to the police report.
The report said Groves arrived at a hotel room at the Homestead Guest Studios and was met by police officers.
He was issued a citation and ordered to appear in Bedford Municipal Court on May 10.
There were more than a dozen men arrested in the sting operation.
On March 13, the Browns signed Groves, the former Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker as part of the team's effort to retool the defense. Groves agreed to a two-year deal worth a total of $2.8 million, The Plain Dealer reported.
The 6-3, 265-pound linebacker is coming off his best season. He resurrected his career after four disappointing years split between Jacksonville and Oakland.
The 2008 second-round draft pick started seven games last season, setting career highs in tackles and sacks. Groves helped the Cardinals rank first in passer rating allowed and interception percentage.
In a statement put out at the time, Browns coach Rob Chudzinski called Groves a solid player.

Should be legal anyway.
Fiscal deficit - if the gvt legalized and controlled prostitution we could F--K our way out of the recession.

At least he was bringing condoms. Who gives a s**t if he wants to pay for sex. I thought the NFL got you free sex for life. I guess not.

He said he was only there because of their "deep-tissue" massages. You mean he might have been lying???
