This is why he will be a failure. If his coaching philosophy really includes not needing a franchise QB, dude is in for a rude awakening.

I think that is Kelley's way of saying" look we don't have crap for a QB and the draft isn't any better so I will make this work until something better comes along"

Had he said Vick was a franchise QB everyone would laugh at him and say he was crazy, if he said any of this years draft class of QBs had a franchise player he would be laughed at.

What else is he supposed to say?

If that really is his meaning, then it's fine. However, if his philosophy really is that they don't need a franchise QB for his offense to thrive, then he's going to be an absolute failure.

I fully expect them to draft EJ Manuel at the top of the 2nd, anyways.

it's true....

Harbaugh 5 years - $25 million
Carroll 5 years - $33 million
Fisher - 5 years - $35 million

And so many out there say our coach has a huge ego. Looking at his earnings would suggest he is more worried about winning then becoming the highest paid coach. I'm not seeing the ego.

Seahawks, you have company
Looks like Philly has their own front office / coach power struggle brewing. I wonder if the Eagles would be interested in trading their coach. Might be worth exploring. I think he would be dynamite with Kaepernick.

Wow, Fisher gets $7M a year? How did that happen? He's made the playoff 6 times in 20 seasons, and over that time is only 15 games over .500

Wow. So Kelly got what Harbaugh was rumored to want here in power over personnel decisions. So much dot the Eagles trading him. Lol. I never thought it would happen anyway.

This will likely blow up in their face. Rarely do coaches w too much control win

I find this situation to be kind of funny. Initial reports were that firing Kelly's good friend Gamble would make him mad and want to leave. It turned out to be the exact opposite lol. Kelly was more than happy to get his buddy out of there so he could get more power. Cut. Throat. League.

Going to be an interesting off season...

"In the last week, I think everybody on this roster was talked about being on the trade block." — Chip Kelly.
Reeks of McDaniels like destruction. Even he made Orton a top QB for half a season.

It's not that they are bad moves,
It's more fixing sh*t that's not broke.
