Bengals plan to hire Hue Jackson as their OC, per source.

With Jay Gruden in place, Hue Jackson will likely remain in Cincinnati as offensive coordinator. Won't go to Redskins, I'm told.

Curtis Conway made a good point about the Jay Gruden hire. It seems like everyone is looking for the "Quarterback Whisperer". Thank God we have ours.

Bengals could wind up losing both coordinators. Jay Gruden is Redskins HC and Mike Zimmer has emerged as a favorite in Minnesota.

It's a whirlwind week for Whisenhunt, as he'll do three interviews and then guide the Chargers' offense in Denver on Sunday. Or maybe he won't even get out of Detroit without signing on the dotted line. The Lions' job is reportedly his to lose as they appear to be seeking an offensive-minded coach with head-coaching experience and a history of developing talented quarterbacks. Whiz has worked with Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner and Philip Rivers in his last three stops.

If Whisenhunt is smart, he'll go with the Lions, because he sucks balls when it comes to identifying/developing QB talent. Just go with Stafford.

Grandson of John McVay, he's been on their staff for a few years, plus I'm assuming that Gruden will maintain some level of control over the playcalling.

Hearing this repeatedly from black assistants this morning: nepotism of the Gruden hire shows why so hard for blacks to get jobs.

Maybe if Marvin Lewis has a brother....or Rahim Morris, or Hue Jackson, or Leslie Frazier, or Romeo Crennel, or Lovie Smith...or the assistants can actually STFU and stop crying.

So as a result of the Gruden hire, Hue Jackson gets promoted to OC with the Bengals and yet people are still crying? When Lovie went and brought in Frazier as his DC, was anyone calling it nepotism then? Give me a break.

Bengals DC Mike Zimmer has reportedly emerged as the favorite for the Vikings' head-coaching vacancy.
Marvin Lewis could be losing both his coordinators, as Jay Gruden was hired by the Redskins Thursday. The abrasive and fiery Zimmer's style would be in stark contrast to mild-mannered, player-friendly coach Leslie Frazier. It's a bit surprising the Vikings wouldn't favor an offensive mind, but Zimmer would make a fine choice. He's been the Bengals' defensive coordinator since 2008, consistently getting the most out of UDFA's and leading his unit to a No. 3 ranking this year despite season-ending injuries to Geno Atkins and Leon Hall.
