for you brains out there shawn was cut because the team he plays for, runs a 4-3 defense.
He is a 3-4 OLB with speed.It wasnt his knee it was his achilies that was torn prognocisi 1 to 1.5 years for recovery
. signing him could prove to be bennificial.

We have Haralson and Bakhtiari, plus Gooden can play outside...no reason to sign a washed-up player like Merriman.

Would not cost much to try him out. I would have zero problems with it. And not much more expectations.
