Sold it, reportedly, to Jimmy Haslam.
Welcome to California, new NFL franchise (I'm assuming).
I think it'd be cool to see a more random state getting a team. Oklahoma? Somewhere where there is untapped college fanbases that would latch onto an NFL team.

Seriously, LA doesn't deserve a team. It is a shame with that many people they cant hold on to a football team. Not sure how many people are in Oklahoma, but that might be a good idea.
Or maybe Utah. They could be the Salt Lake City Cults.Their maskot could be a dude with multiple wives.

Haslam has been a minority investor in the Pittsburgh Steelers and in a 2010 profile told the team's website that he had been a Dallas Cowboys and then an Indianapolis Colts fan. But with the Pittsburgh investment, Haslam said he had become "1,000 percent a Steelers fan." The Steelers, of course, are the Browns' chief rivals.
no loyalty, he will move the team

A billion dollars, for, well, for a storied and highly successful franchise with a history of ........
Um.
He spend a billion on a team who have only existed since 1999, in reality. A team who have generally been really, really awful and whose best season didn't get them into the playoffs! A billion.
Good luck to the city, who deserved something after getting shafted by Modell and instead got..... more of the same. But a billion is just utter stupidity. With little in the way of real, saleable assets so far as I can see, this would appear to be the entrance fee into the oligopoly of NFL owners.

I think it was Adam Schefter when they were talking about the Browns sale said teams like Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers... Pretty much teams with multiple Superbowl victories, it would take 2-3 Billion if they ever were for sale.
