The CFL is very entertaining football, and is not as sub-par to the NFL as many people think. It is a different game though. Very fast, almost all passing with tons of guys in motion before every play, and with 3 downs and a 25 second play clock no lead is ever safe. In the NFL if you have a lead and get the ball with 2:00 left you basically just kneel a few times and it's over, whereas in the CFL there is no guarantee of anything at that point.
Don't get me wrong, I am only a casual fan even though I live in Canada, and I have been a die-hard 49ers fan my whole life, but the CFL has it's own merits.
I don't get why more guys don't come up here to play. Yes, the money is a pittance compared to the NFL, but at least you get to keep playing a game for a living in front of thousands of people and maybe get another chance one day back in the big show. I am surprised Tebow hasn't considered it as his game is tailor-made for the CFL and if he came up here and kicked butt for a few years he might get another shot, same as Warren Moon or Doug Flutie and to a lesser extent Garcia.

To avoid those kneel downs they should lower the play clock to 30 secons after the two minute warning. Teams from behind are rudhing anyways and the team in the lead can't just sit on it.
I mean, they got rid of kickoffs and big hitting, this would increase the excitement at the end of the games.

Can't believe Schiano is trying to say that Martin can play. As a WR or an RB I would volunteer to go on IR because the last thing I would want is for someone to pull me by my arm/shoulder during a tackle and tear it completely(if isn't already) but in a more violent way.

Vikings-Giants drew 9.5, Series 9.4, I'm old enough to remember when MLB was #1 hands down. The sport no longer reaches all levels of society. Basketball will overtake Baseball in the near future as the #2 sport in the US.

Does the NBA finals get higher ratings than the World Series? I would imagine so...
