Shoot - they were spurned by:
1. Jim Harbaugh last season to be their head coach
2. Jeff Fischer this season
3. Manning rebuffed them early
4. Matt Flynn just picked SEA over them even though they have his formed position coach
And to top it off, the let the Bears steal their biggest playmaker for 2 third round picks!!
Maybe after meeting with them, people realize they are inept?

And remember how awesome things were looking for them a few years ago when Tony Sparano rolled in and took them to the playoffs his first year. LOL boy how things do change in a jiffy.

My guess is they didn't want flynn that bad. They had the money to offer him way more than Seattle. He would've atleast used them for leverage vs the Seahawks.

I don't think they pursued Flynn all that hard. Their lack of major interest in Flynn spoke volumes about the type of player Philbin feels he is. If his long-time former offensive coordinator was lukewarm about bringing him in, Seattle probably just got f**ked.

They have no QB, no receivers, no TE, they need OL help, their drafted RB last year is injury prone. Their defense is solid, but needs a lot of help too and is transitioning to a new 4-3. I can't see the Dolphins being better than 3rd place in the division next year, and can easily see them being in last place. The Bills are on the cusp, but they need a good draft to get over the hump. I think the Jets will stay in the middle.
I pray that Smith doesn't go to the Dolphins. I want him back with us. Him or Manning, period. No one else. He'd honestly be better off going to friggin' Cleveland than playing in Miami.

If Holmgren knows what is good for him he'll call Condon about Alex. Alex's arm is twice as good as McCoys, not to mention the experience factor. Hell he saw what Alex did an elite defense holding it down for them.
Cleveland has a top10 D and a solid OL with a decent group of TEs and WRs. Add in a RB or WR plus Alex and he'd finally be competitive in the AFC North

Man, Miami is a mess. I root for them but it sucks that they suck. IMO, the league is better when they are good.

Miami - the blind leading the blind.
I too feel Alex would be very good for us BUT I also feel there is no way we turn down Manning. AND there is no way Alex returns as a backup.
I think he'd do real well in Cleveland, especially with the potential of 2 first rounders. Not sure about their OLine.
I also feel he is better than Cassel in KC, frankly he's much better.

no idea, maybe he is doing it himself and when they do a handshake deal he hires another guy real quick to read the fine print? Maybe Condon still helps him but alex cuts the cord immediately after?

Condon is still his agent.
And yes, the Dolphins may just be one of the least desirable football destinations in the league. I remember when this was us back in 2004/2005.

Jeff Ireland (born in a Denny's parking lot in Abilene, Texas) is the most incompetent human being in the history of existence. He has previously served as an executive for the Dallas Cowboys, a team he still dearly loves, proving so by signing every player the Cowboys cut to the Miami Dolphins franchise, a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs and an assistant coach for the North Texas Mean Green. He played college football for the Baylor Bears. As a child he was a ball boy for the Chicago Bears (pun intended).

. He never wanted to leave Dallas, where his favorite Applebee's with that almost cute waitress that always puts TWO umbrellas in his cosmopolitan is located, so to compensate, he decided he would sign every reject that the Cowboys cut, including Marc Colombo.
