Thats still a low number of TDs for that many attempts.

Also a very low number INTs, 7 INTs in 663 attempts lmao
almost a 4-1 ratio

his percentage of INTs and TDs would be probably different though ..cant say he'd really have 7 INTs or 27 TDs

BOSS

I'd trade 5 more Ints for 20 more Tds.

No doubt.

I'd also take Stafford over Smith.

it is. its also an insanely low # of INTs for that many attempts.

still, it would be a pretty good season.

but we can assume that with that many attempts a lot of the numbers would change; its possible TDs would go up but so would INTs, completion % would go down, etc, etc. I think the conclusion to draw is that Stafford had a great season and looks like a star in the making, but with that many attempts even a maligned above-average QB like Smith will put up seemingly elite numbers.

agreed.

Also wouldnt hurt if Smith had his own Calvin Johnson.

I wouldnt unless Megatron comes with him...

look at this dude any QB can do throw the ball up. Stafford is so overrated if Shaun Hill can put up 2500 yards and 16 TDs in 9 healthy games

2011 16 games, 5038 yards, 41 TD's, 16 INT's.

D'Qwell Jackson got second place, then Alex.
Exactly, the award is "Comeback player of the year". What is Alex Smith coming back from? Perpetual suckiness?

Definitely. More pass attempts means you are losing more often. Playing with a lead and playing catchup are two totally different things. Alex Smith was essentially the prototypical "Game manager" this year. That's why his INT total is so low. All he had to do was not screw up.

Alex has been injured multiple times

Not saying he doesn't deserve this award but that's not the reason lol the reason is cause he threw 5000 yards and 38 tds
