wow. Newton is coming up big! For a rook to put up numbers like he's doing?? stickin it to all the critics. I said he was either gonna be really good or really bad. I'm happy for him.

This is Alexcuse #497, but The team alex had his rookie year, would get beat 49-10 by the team Cam Newton is on now.
(no wr's, bad defense, etc)

I don't like cam, and don't think he will be as good as everyones saying, but I like how the coordinater and staff are letting him actually go out there and air it out. I respect that. You don't see it much.

Brandon Lloyd was on pace for a 1100 yard season with Tim rattay throwing the ball to him....
Alex smith has been surrounded by guys who were 1000 yard guys on other teams.
Blame smith
Blame the offense
But don't blame his WRs

we won 4 more games than they did, and lost to them..
the only reason we flirted with the playoffs, if you want to call it that, is because of how abysmal our division was.
I'm not trying to discount our team and it's talent in comparison but don't be absurd, previous seasons have been proven to matter for mostly nothing in regard to the success toward current seasons.
