It also helps when the refs don't call pass interference.

It's the f**king Super Bowl. I would have been very unhappy if they had thrown a bunch of flags instead of letting them play.
Steelers lost, Green Bay won, and both teams deserved the spot they got.

Because they have Aaron Rodgers, not Alex Smith.

Ah, I guess I missed that part where the "rules" only count in certain games. Where did you see that at? I don't want to see a slow game with tons of penalties either, but when you have blatant pass interference on a play - that results in a turn over - and a ref is 5 feet away and doesn't call it...well that's just pathetic.

the last play was not PI, if that's what we're talking about. If not... carry on

RBD sounds like a sore loser. I watched the game with my uncle and cousin, both are die-hard lifelong Steelers fans, and they b***hed about it less than him. In fact, they agreed the Packers beat them fair and square.

Amigo, the Packers beat the Steelers for 2 very real reasons that have nothing to do with officiating:
1) Ben Roethlisberger is a pretty good QB...sometimes. Ben's inability to deliver consistent results has created an offense that relies on home run plays to win games instead of steady, rhythmic production. If you live by the big play, sooner or later, you will die by the big play.
2) The Steelers are AWFUL at Nickel and Dime defense. Why? Because their 2nd, 3rd and 4th CBs are simply adequate. For this reason, Dick LeBeau decided to stick with 4 Linebackers against 3 and sometimes 4 wide receiver sets. As a result, the Steelers spent the game facing huge mismatches in coverage...which is why Jordy Nelson (who?) Was the game's leading receiver.
The Steelers have shown these particular weaknesses all season. GB was smart enough to build their gameplan to exploit them.

Right on target.
McCarthy had a brilliant game plan against them, not that it was a big secret. Everybody knew that GB was deeper in receivers than Pittsburgh was in DBs. However, not very many observers realized HOW deep GB was and how big an increment they had over Pittsburgh.
It's a passing league and a good passing team will beat a good running team most of the time.

Good posts.
Also, it is important to note that the GB secondary, even the backups, are deeper then Pitts WRs. People jock that Wallace kid but he is just a burner. He is no DJax or Roddy White.
After all the GB secondary went down, I thought Steelers got lucky and would be able to come back from that 21-3 deficit .....and they did. But it was not enough.
Also, it help with Mr. Rodgers is putting the ball into the area of your body where the ball is tucked away.
