5. I think I don't know how you could have an ounce of faith in Carson Palmer this morning, not after handing the Steelers two touchdowns on interception returns, and not after continually misfiring again. It might be time to deal him to San Francisco for a second-round pick in April, Mike Brown. Or a third-.

He can't win with two of the best WR's playing, he would crumble here. Pass. Certainly not worth a 2nd or 3rd rounder!

Palmer had one good season and was injured. Since then his overall QB rating has been about the same as Alex Smith. Right now Palmer, with two of the better WRs in the game on his side, has a rating of 78, lower than Smith.
I don't know if Alex would be willing to stay here another year or not but I would rather have him than Palmer.

He just has never been the same player after his knee injury. I would pass.

Not even a third. And definitely not a 2nd! But we need a replacement for Carr. So a low pick

I wouldn't mind having Palmer here. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good. He certainly isn't worse than what we have now.
But for a 3rd or higher? You so crazy.
MAYBE a 4th. More likely a 5th. What was it about his performance this year that makes people think he is worth a 3rd? He will be an experiment here. Nothing more.
Even if we get him. We're still taking a QB in round 1 or 2. Palmer isn't a long term solution.

Actually Carson Palmer just took his team to the playoffs last year with a 10-6 record.
Would you say a change of scenery would be better for Palmer???

Carson Palmer would be an upgrade for us. I could live with him for a couple of years while we develop who ever we draft next year. I'm on the bring Carson Palmer to 49ers bandwagon sponsored by Bank of America
