Another story about a dumb, drunk NFL fan? No wai! Dummies like him just make sensible people less likely to attend games, filling the seats with more dumb drunks. Perhaps Roger should focus on that and not making sure the players don't get tackled too hard.

Seriously though, f**k his dad. What a p***y.
If some dude tackled me at a game when I was 8, my dad would still be in prison. Learn how to handle your s**t, pops.

I'm trying to figure out why nobody in the crowd rolled this fool up. I happen to have an 8 year old boy myself but he wouldnt need to be my son, if I saw an 8 year old kid get tackled by some drunk idiot I just think instinct would take over and I'd have to take some action myself and ask questions later

like Adam Carolla says, "In 50 years, we'll all be chicks" The pussification of this country continues. Most "Men" can't even change a tire.

absolutely, I think any parent that saw this happen, check that any ADULT, should be held accountable....they did nothing about this, and that is what is more sickening....

At first I thought "if it was me I'dda kicked the s**t out of the guy". But nowadays who knows who has a gun. A guy drunk/ crazy enough to do that to a kid surely would have no problem firing shots. The scrapes would heal but things could have escalated to something far worse. I think getting the kid out of there was the smartest, safest thing to do.

Maybe it was fake?
at the 9er game a couple of games back there was these kids doing a scene in their film and a fan was supposed to get hit in the face and jacked for his tickets. Well they got a volunteer but that person didn't feel comfortable hitting the guy in the face since he was way bigger then him and for liability reasons so they decided for the guy to takle him instead. If i was someone walking along and seen that, I probably would of thought it was real.
not saying this was fake but weird how no one stopped the guy out hundreds of people, the family rejected the gift. the dad and mom didn't do anything not even file a police report? just too weird to me
If it isn't a hoax then that guy deserves a serious beat down.

I agree making sure the kid was safe, but had it happened to my son, I won't think that logically. Instead, I'd have my wife take our son away and give the SOB the beating of his life, even if it meant others might jump in and defend him just because he's a Browns fan.

we might as well start playing flag football if we're going to be upset every time a grown man tackles a child.

Not the same, IMO. A guy that's drunk enough to tackle random children is probably drunk enough to do much, much worse, especially if there's a group of them.
Getting away is probably the safest thing to do (and as a man, your family's safety should come first). It's easy for everyone to say they would have killed the guy, but this guy probably would have said the same thing if you asked him a week ago. It's not the same when the situation actually presents itself.

I don't get why they didn't accept the invite. I don't see it as greedy. It would have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
OOh, they should have taken it. I was saying I am surprised they didn't because most people in the world look to milk everything.

I am guessing they are not looking for sympathy and don't care much. I believe the kid is traumatize now to even set his foot in a football stadium.

I hope someone finds that douche and kicks the living piss out of him. Drunk or not drunk kids are off limits.
But I agree the dad did the right thing, you don't want an angry mob of drunken losers bum rushing you.
