Spags is way over his head, it's going to take at least three more seasons before they field a decent team, and Spags will be gone by then, but the guy developed quiet the defensive unit in NY, I loved the attacking style of play he learned to coach from the late great Jim Johnson.
But Sadly Spags gets my vote too....Mike Nolan is up there too
I like Spags, sadly he coaches the Rams so I hope they're stuck rebuilding forever

Mangini I can see an argument for however Morris and Haley have 1 year under their belts and both took over talent laden teams in rebuilding mode. Takes time to rewrite a sinking ship...IMO jury is still out.
You make a good point. It is too early to judge whether they'll sink as HCs.
But I think that this thread is as much about who the current bad HCs are as who may also be on their way out after this upcoming season - thus qualifying them as a bad HC.

Gary Kubiak (Holding a great team back with poor clock-management in the 4th.)
Todd Haley (Complete jerk with hot temper, the players will never gel with him.)
Lovie Smith (Too soft.)
Jack Del Rio (Mike Nolan's suit/leather jacket-wearing sidekick.)
Mike Tomlin (Poser which inherited Bill Cowher's gold.)

Hopefully it will be Pete Carroll, so we get 2 easy wins a year.

How do you fire John Gruden and hire this guy.
Now hold on yeah Gruden shouldn't of been fired, but Morris is a promising HC. They got a real young team over there and he's done a good job so far.

Uh John Fox anyone??? He put the ball in the man who is the worst starting QB in the NFL over and over again even though they have one of the best running games in the League and they had a better option the whole time last year. For Deangalo and 89's sake I hope they do renew Fox's contract next year.

Same can be said for Spags that applied to Morris and Haley. You have to account for they had to work with. It will take them 2-3 years of coaching their respective teams IMO before one can pass a fair assessment.
Rookie HC's are going to make rookie HC'ing mistakes, the important thing is that they learn from them.
IMO the worst NFL HC is Wade Phillips. Jack Del Rio and Eric Mangini get votes as well.
Even Mike Nolan with that absolutely atrocious 2005 team managed to get 4 wins. Spags got 1

Dude, Tomlin is a top 10 coach imo.

Don't like Williams and Smith, huh?
