agreed.
if he can be had for a 6th rounder i say why not. i think ginn could still be a good player, what he lacks is confidence and what he really needs is a change of scenery and some motivation. i'm sure sing can get a fire burning in him.

I see his inability to catch as being just a slight disadvantage! So, no.
he just became even more expendable for the dolphins. I'd do it for a 6th.

He's a horrible PR, after all his fumbles Miami gave up even putting him back there

He only had 36 punt returns in 3 years, and fumbled 6 of em

also a terrible WR, and too soft to play on other special team squads

Niners should find thier RS in the draft that is loaded with good returners

I also thnk R.Smith will contribute as a PR

He's a good kick returner, not so much at punt returning though - but that's okay.

If Sullivan feels he could coach him up, along with Singletary, then I think we'll trade a future late round pick for him.
im glad they took ginn with the 9th pick. imagine if they had willis and we drafted ginn out right.

with that said i think he could be had for a 6th that could rise to a 5th if he does what he supposed to. i think thats all he could be had for. plus hes on the outside now that marshall is their number 1 receiver.

he does fumble alot but i thin its more technique and the hype that came with him being the ultimate return specialist. i would want him to resturcture his contract but i would have no problem having him on our team as the PR/KR.
I am a fan of his return skills, but am not impressed with his route running and separation moves. Although the guy can outrun a bullet, I don't know if we necessarily need another speed guy as we already have Jones.

My immediate thought is to fill our return needs with someone who can multitask, so if Ginn can make our roster as the #5 WR and primary returner then I think a late round pick (a la Holmes) is worth the investment, assuming the Dolphins would agree to a trade.
would do it for 5th or lower, but we wont do s**t

Strictly a returner. In my opinion, he should've been coached to be an extra DB, but OSU took the receiver route. Hasn't panned out in the NFL.
I say 6th rounder for Ginn Jr. to be our return man.
I would over pay with a 5th rounder, hopefully next year's 5th since we will be drafting so low next year!

No way the Niners would have drafted Ginn back then. It was either Willis or Carricker.
Just say NO to Ginn.
