i guess we should bring nolan back as the DC
If Manusky leaves to be a HC, I hope Jim Tomsula is next in line to be our DC. Gotta love the passion he has for this game.

I watched the game. I was really surprised as to how effective the 3-4 defense against the Bengals in its first regular season action.
Their 3-4 OLBs are really undersized, and Ronald Fields is not a starting caliber NT, but they got the job done.
Their team really reminds me of the 49ers team during Mike Nolan. Effective, but inconsistent defense with an out of sync offense.

Because his team held the pitiful Bungles to one TD? Please.
I watched the first half of the first quarter and the Bungles had 2 opportunities to put points on the board and screwed it up without any help from the defense.
Nolan's defense sucks.....

He took over a team that gave up almost 30 points per game last season.
Holding any team in the NFL to single digits is a notable accomplishment, let alone one featuring Carson Palmer and Chad Ochocinco.
Did you watch the final drive?
Big nickle the whole way down.
When the game was on the line he called a chicken s**t defense.

SEVEN POINTS

You guys are all incredibly biased.
It is true because he was a stupid head coach for us.

Considering they were making the switch from 4-3 to 3-4 as well they did pretty well. Say what you want about Nolan but he did a good job with Baltimore as DC and when Billy Davis failed and he took over are defense improved dramatically.
He's a fine DC.
