I don't get the CB in Rd1 talk, we have Ward, Lenoir, Oliver, Womack, Thomas, Luter Jr. all under contract for next season, and all of those young guys are only going to get better, especially if Wilks is our DC again... and we've found solid CBs in day 3 or even UDFA like Moseley

LT is the biggest need, because Trent Williams might retire soon
then I would prioritize DE and DT still ahead of CB, pass rush makes CBs better

but having said all of that... Brock Bowers is my pipe dream, him and Kittle for a few seasons together, then Kittle's eventual replacement

Lenoir, Oliver, Womack and Thomas has yet to show that they can be THAT other CB, Luter, he a rookie so we don't even know about him..

BUT, if there's a CB out there that we like in Round One.. WHY NOT?

Xavier Leggett is poised to be the zones favorite receiver this offseason

I think they have shown it. Fans just want (understandably but unrealistically) to have two CB1s. I agree that OL, DT and EDGE are bigger needs.

1 JC Latham, OT
2 Malachi Corley, WR
3 Dontay Corleone, IDL
3 Adisa Isaac, EDGE
3 Kiran Amegadjie, IOL
4 Khordae Sydnor, DE
4 Jackson Powers-Johnson, OC
5 Jaylon Carlies, S
5 Jaylan Ford, LB
6 Zakhari Franklin, WR
6 Derrick Canteen, CB
6 Zach Heins, TE
7 Frank Gore Jr, RB

I think it's definitely a case of fans wanting two no. 1s. I think Lenoir is fine, but I am not going to assume that we extend him. I think the staff is confident in him, given that they let Mosely walk. But I don't think it's a done deal that he's here long term. Just all depends on the contract. Less than 10 million, he absolutely stays. But I can see him attracting that level of interest in free agency. I said for years Mike McGlinchey wasn't a bust (I still say he wasn't) and that he would fetch top dollar on the free agent market, and sure enough he got an 18 million APY contract. I'm more so realistically looking for 3 or 4 guys we are confident in starting on the outside. Most teams do not have that, but we are in the unique position to build that level of depth. It would be very similar to when we had Carlos Rogers, Tarrell Brown, Chris Culliver, and Perrish Cox. In that CB group, Tramain Brock was the 5th guy. Pretty impressive when you think about the depth. I think we can get that at the CB position. With that said, I'm starting to salivate at the thought of Brenden Rice in this offense which is going to require a pick in the first two rounds.

I'm curious as to why you have IDL so high on the list. I do want to draft the next run stuffing DJ Jones, but do not believe we have to invest such a high pick. We have Hargrave and Armstead taking most of the snaps. Davis is coming on. We can take a guy on day 3 and develop them just like Jones.

DJ Joneses are both rare and valuable. Corleon is a talent, and I'll always be a proponent of draft talented players in the trenches, needs be damned. A deeper DL is always valuable, NT is already shallow, and DT will eventually be a need - is AA getting another contract at 31 years old +?
Trade ups

CB. Cooper Dejean out of Iowa
or
OT Amarius Mims out of Georgia

Stay puts

CB TJ Tampa out of Iowa state
or
OT Jordan Morgan out of Arizona
OT makes sense to prioritize and I would not be surprised if we see the double dip at OT in 2024 like they did at TE last year (Latu/Willis). Matt Pryor is a free agent and Moore is looking just ok. WR is a probable early pick since both Juaun and Ray-Ray are free agents. With BA getting an expected large contract they'll need to get cheaper at WR. Backup QBs are free agents & backup C is an issue.

Dude seems to have an elite arm, instinct for subtly escaping defenders and a knack for throwing accurately off platform. There's a lot to like. About the only thing I didn't like so far watching a couple of game highlight cutups is (a) the scheme introduces some uncertainty and (b) I saw one boot pass where it felt like the guy was open for an eternity before he threw it. But, I'd definitely take him in the first round, because it's always a risk anyway, and those tools do not grow on trees.

EDIT: of course, only speaking abstractly here, as at this point we have no reason to waste high draft capital on a QB. If Brock struggles a few more games though, then I'd probably be interested in trying to get him.

Instead of resigning Aijuk, what if we packaged him with other draft picks to move up for Marvin Harrison Jr.? I know it sounds like fantasy, especially if he goes in the top 5 and the draft capital we would have to surrender to move up that far, but here is my reasoning.
1. Salary! If Aijuk ends up performing well getting over $25 million a year, he might price his way off our team unless Trent Williams retires. Good for us if he increases his trade value which is kind of essential for this to work, and will also make me sad to see him go.
2. Julio Jones! When he had Julio in Atlanta, his offense was incredible. Falcons made a similar deal and it almost won them a Super Bowl
3. We have a pretty deep roster, and a ton of picks. May as well try and get the best player in draft. Low risk high reward
4. We have an elite run game, but our receivers have not shown they can dominate, and I love how we scheme people open, but what would our offense look like with an elite pure wideout, and CMC? I hope Aijuk can become that, but I am not as confident in that as I am in Marvin Harrison Jr.'s potential, mostly based on watching his father for over a decade, and seeing his son look just as good with a way bigger frame, and a lifetime of training toward this moment. Also why I want to draft Frank Gore Jr. and Brendan Rice.....
5. It's working really well in my Madden Franchise! lol, go ahead and roast me now
Take note around the QB class and hype around the 2020 draft.......the nfl draft is an overhyped crapshoot. I still love it though.
