This is just dilligence, my bet is that we'll draft a QB at least every other year just to see what happens. We've had too many injuries, and too much variance at the position to just stand pat.
Trey isn't getting traded because his value is far too low. If a team offered a 1st they'd take it, but no one will.
If they have him graded higher than others at a particular pick they'll do it and worry about the roster later. They aren't above a mysterious season ending injury!

But what if they get offered the equivalent of a 1st. Say Hou decides they want Will Anderson at #2 and don't go QB. They offer SF pick 33 and say 104.
We then trade 33 and either pick from 99-104 move in to end of round 1 and draft say... Anton Harrison. That essentially would be a round 1 pick for Trey and possibly our future LT

I wouldn't take it and the Texans wouldn't do it.
I think Lynch/Kyle would pull the trigger and then I would bet a lot of money we draft DTR.

I want at least a future 1st and a 2nd this yr (or next yr). It won't happen, so no trade. I want the ability to move up in the draft next yr to grab a top tier QB if Brock doesn't maintain his play or simply isn't the same dude after the injury. I want that draft capital if another top end vet QB becomes available.
as far as DTR, good arm and mobile. He's frame is slight. His footwork, vision and lack of anticipatory throws makes him a late day 3 guy for me. he's PJ Walker and not sure why if he's drafted here that would have any affect on the current guys? He's a PS guy imo.

UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson had a score of 91% on his S2 Cognition test results, source says.

🤯🤯🤯
I'm told the #Eagles have shown "a serious interest in Thompson-Robinson."
DTR also met with a majority of the teams in the league either via the Shrine Bowl… pic.twitter.com/pSThUN02Tc

Kind of funny how nobody really knew of S2 test and then Barrows does the big story about it and suddenly it's the new hot thing.
Also feels like the results are being revealed much easier than before which is unlikely since they're confidential. Can't imagine if CJ stroud actually scored an 18(which seems borderline special needs to me) that he wouldn't want it posted everywhere.

PJ Walker and PS guy? Wow really? Zero chance he's either of those IMO

Different test, but still holds value and is still leaked every year like the Wonderlic was. Stroud probably doesnt want it posted, but a team not taking Stroud might as an excuse to the fan base, or a team that wants Stroud to drop to them might. Its not leaked for the benefit of Stroud.

I think there's a pretty good chance that's his outcome. Ceiling might be Tyrod Taylor or Tyler Huntley.

Wonderlic I believe was part of the combine process so those results were in essence public record as much as the 40 was, just not as prominent of course.
S2 owners talked about how the testing scores are confidential and they're only allowed to comment on them if the person taking them gives their permission and it may not even be the actual score but the range.
I actually think one of them was on McAfee's show earlier talking about how the scores weren't accurate or missing key context like one guy(he refused to even hint at who it was) arrived to the test late due to scheduling issues, hungry, etc and still had to test because they had to do it but when he was retested at a later date when he wasn't stressed and tired from other stuff they said he scored much higher.
So like anything else…could be some smoke screens unless the guys who run the test release the scores.

We'll see then I guess. Kid played a lot of ball and was UCLAs entire offense many times.

I like DTR. I think he can be a long time player in this league, but not a consistent starter.
But of we pick him up with a 5th round pick then he's a HOF

Intriguing. His running makes you think he's a tuck and run qb, but he actually has a good arm and good accuracy. Throws a very catchable ball like a pass from Montana.

Absolutely zero good reasons for Dorian Thompson-Robinson to have been a fifth round pick.
