Punter lol

Big, massive booming leg that has allowed him to crush monstrous punts, hit 50+ yard field goals and continually put San Diego State opponents in a bad position out on the field. He's had an absolutely unreal season for a punter, having broken several records already while also handling kicker duties.

He's a really good player. He will make an excellent special teams player for somebody. He's getting some deserved recognition.
#1 pick in the draft!
I'm just thinking, we DID just get a couple extra 3rd round pics for Mike Mcdaniel - I would not be mad about using one to draft this kid. Beyond unreal as a punter, capable of completely flipping field position from ANYWHERE! He would handle kickoffs too, and a guaranteed touchback nearly every time. Plus he could fill in for some kick attempts in a pinch if needed, if something were to happen to Robbie again.

And he's made some special teams tackles, without getting a concussion....

Imagine all the trick plays we can do when punting. No gunners needed.

What these punters need to specialize is a drop kick. That way, if we are at the 50 and have a punter that can drop kick, then we get three points.

Im surprised someone out there isn't trying to be a drop kick specialist.

We did it once and we could do it again.

We should consider dual punters. Catch them off guard
I'm buying.
Likely a third rounder at worst. Hard not to think of the dual threat possibilities, but the wear on the leg over a 17 game season would be tough. If NFL still had just 14 games, a guy like this could save you a roster spot lol.

I've always wondered about this. I mean what's the difference in the wear and tear on a leg compared to the wear and tear on a QBs arm slinging it 30+ times a game? Same thing with the long snapper, why not make the Center or backup Center do it to save a roster spot?

it's rare that you see a Center who can zip a 15 yard to the punter.. this is what is rare about them long snapper.. but I do agree that if we can find a Center to do it, to save some spot, why not..
3rd round, lock it in. lol

Not sure if you're joking or not, but drop kicking is really hard even with a rugby ball which is much more rounded at the bottom for a more even bounce, and has a much bigger sweet spot.

No one could regularly make drop kicks with an NFL football from more than 20 yards.
