His stats are fake like the Scottsdale community too All YAC
He's a weaker armed Garapollo, his arm strength doesn't match his size and all of his throws are "touch" passes, not sure if on purpose. Will be a bust, put me down saying that
Meh, seems like pretty weak reasoning.
Are you saying Shanny wouldn't know what to do with a YAC QB? Seems like a weird knock.
Damn touch passes, who needs touch passes, amirite? Just Kap it at everyone at 100 miles an hour.
Guy threw a 45 yard TD effortlessly. If he can do that then his arm is strong enough. Would rather have a guy with touch and strength than a guy with strength and no touch.
Haven't seen enough of him myself, but what he just did was pretty impressive.
Why move on from a QB with zero mobility and relies on YAC for another one with even less zip? Touch passes are great, but there's also times you need to get it there in a hurry and I almost never see that with him. It's all good if you're a fan of him, I'm not at all, to each their own. If we are drafting a replacement for Jimmy, I want one with elite traits, I see none with him. If he goes in the 1st, mark my words that he will be a bust in the NFL.
I see several people say he has a weak arm, but I'm not sure. True, I've not seen him throw much by way of bullets (so far only watched highlights), but it also seems like he can throw deep with very little effort. It's possible he has a strong arm but simply prefers high arching touch passes with touch, depending on timing over pass speed. It could be that the highlights just don't have many in traffic throws (the kind that require bullet passes). But on a couple of the deep throws I've seen his body motion looks exactly like the shorter throws, as if he's just flipping it, and it arcs to the target's hands.
Then again, maybe he just can't throw the ball with zip, as you say. I'd have to watch more. But what I've seen in these highlights doesn't show much by way of limitation in terms of where he can put the ball, including with respect to throwing distance.
