I'd be curious to see your evaluation of Abram. You have him higher than most other scouts out there both in terms of overall and compared to other safeties. He strikes me as a better fit for zone than man and I don't see much in the way of recovery if he makes a mistake. Just wondering because there is a fair chance he's there in the third round.

If the 49ers go safety with the 36th pick who would be the best fit and why? Adderly, Rapp, Savage, or someone else?

Who? Savage. Why? Speed.

Maddog curious about your ranking of Bosa (forgive me if you evaluated him in another thread but I did not see it). My assumption from you putting him at #1 is that you would not be concerned about the injury history, or his (alleged reputation) for refusing to play through injury

He is S1 for me, but only as a SS. He needs to be near the LOS causing havoc, not patrolling the middle of the field. No chance he makes it to the third round

Number one overall. Concerns over future injuries but he is so dominant in games.

Any of the above. I think we need two new starting safeties. Rapp too rich for me at 36. Adderley at FS and Savage at SS. Love Thornhill as well. Plays all over the field. CGJ as a FS or SS. Love this safety class

Stat of the day: Darrell Henderson 27 rushes of 20 yards or more in 2018. Joshua Jacobs 1 rush of 20 yards or more in 2018 . Guess who was not RB1 on my board?

Do you see Rapp as a centerfielder or do you worry about his range?
Do you see Terrill Hanks as SAM only?
Do you think Iman Marshall can stick outside?

Rapp is a SS. I wouldn't trust him deep. I think Hanks can play Sam and Mike. I think Marshall lands at safety in the NFL. Probably a 5th rounder or later. Really tested poorly.

My 49ers board is starting to take shape.
I have Bosa as the best pick at number 2...don't worry, the. Cards are NOT drafting him.
At 36, I have three guys at the top of my board. AJ Brown, Hakeem Butler and Jeffery Simmons. I think at least one of these guys will be on the board at 36. If the team wants to swing for the fences, then maybe they pick Simmons. He is a monster in the middle. Iowa runs a very pro set offense and he obliterated it in his last college football game, their bowl game this year. One of the top performances of the year at any position. Of course, 2019 would be a redshirt year
As for the third rounder, I am thinking more and more that Isabella may be on the board into the early third He'd surely be at the top of my board at that point

Why would we need Simmons if we are signing Grady Jarrett next offseason?

He's going to replace Buckner.
