this is why we took Ford, and now may NOT get Bosa

I'd still take Bosa over Q. Ford, Thomas, Buckner, Bosa is an unstoppable d line. Ford, Q, Buckner, Thomas is very good but you're still left with Thomas being out of place.

Agreed, but I'd argue the line is already improved regardless. Plus I'm on record saying I think if they play Thomas inside he will be much much better this year.
If Bosa is gone and there isn't a worth while trade down offer I have zero problem taking the best player available - QW. It's a good problem to have.

I think QW looks like a generational player. He just dominates on the inside. I'd be happy to get him.

Buck, Thomas and QW could rotate on the inside. And of course, injuries are common. Having depth on the DL is not just a luxury in the NFL, it's the position that needs it most.

Now that we got Ford I would be okay with QW, but most of the zone would have an emotional meltdown.

Didn't we both love Derwin last year?

We'll find out soon enough, I guess.

On the outside nothing and it will always be that way. Interior wise he's got a shot.

Or the 49ers want somebody to think that they like Williams more. Unless you have the #1 pick why would you tip your hand like this?
If this is true we need to set up a poker game with 49ers brass.

Brady had 262 yards and 1 interception BTW. What a "great" game. He is not why they won this one. The Rams offense and Patriots defense is.
SanDiego, that's exactly what I was thinking. Suh and Donald made Brady look very pedestrian.
Having a force like QW and Buckner up the middle will destroy pocket QBs like Brees, Brady, Rivers, etc

And what if Ford isn't the pass rusher in Saleh's scheme that he showed in KC @240+ pounds? Then we may (hopefully) never have a top pick again and will still need a dominant LEO.
Unless they plan on moving up in the lower 1/2 of the first round for a pass rusher that they really feel will be as good as Bosa.
Admittedly I have never seen anything of Williams except highlights so what do I know?
One question.
How many college players dominate in the NFL after having an average college career, then one great season and then head for the draft?
This isn't a knock on either Bosa or Williams. Just wondering how it translates if anyone knows.

It really doesn't matter as more likely than not it's not going to be our choice. Arz looks to be heading in Q's direction. They came in with better ends and have upgraded there while doing nothing inside.

I have Ford at LOLB and Bosa at RDE on Madden.
Just sayin.
