Harold Landry Boston College DE/OLB

I agree. I think this senior season dip in production will be a great thing for whichever team drafts him....hoping it's us.
Landry would actually provide protection for Buckner, especially with the wide splits Saleh uses. His arc rush creates space while also making QBs mindful of their drop depth and pushes them up into Defo. A lot of those pressures Defo had should turn into sacks.

Agree, and can you imagine the hit's he's going to have on the QB when Solomon/Buckner perfect the *holding* two OLinemen so Landry can loop *inside* and shoot through the Center-Guard gap! Heh, I'll pay good money to see Goff get hit by a Landry inside stunt!
This whole Landry debates reminds of the Quentin Groves (RIP) debate back in '08. Not saying they're similar players or not just the wide range of opinions.
landry is our pick whether we stay at 9 or trade back. he will complete our defense at leo or at worst a designated pass rusher. bucky brooks compared his play to von miller and adam peters was at denver when they drafted miller. landry in the 1st and josh sweat in 2nd-3rd

I was a big Groves fan for us that year but Landry is a much better prospect IMO. And at #9 and with likely a lot of QBs going off the board before our pick it makes sense there are a lot of options and difference in opinion.

I like Landry, but I think they've got someone else in mind.

I think the pick will be Davenport. Just a little tingle I got.

Gross...would be a major fail. Might as well just keep AA out on the LEO spot then.

Remind me when AA ran a 4.6. I'm not the biggest Davenport fan but he's not AA.

yup cause that's what I'm doing comping AA to Davenport when they both came out of college (AA was like 290+ lbs) notice how I said might as well keep AA at the LEO spot? They basically bull rush off the edge with no plan at all. Who cares about 40 times for edge rushers anyway? AA 10 yard split was a 1.76 and Davenport's was a 1.63...I wouldn't be shocked if AA came in closer to that now that he's like 25+ lbs lighter.

Except Davenport is a legit prospect at defensive end while AA is a defensive tackle. There's no comparison outside of some half @ attempt to say they're both tall and raw. You can say that about Ansah too coming out and you wanted him. Some of those projects do grow.
