I think we all can agree that the Chargers have handled this foolishly but what they are asking from Bosa isn't unprecedented.

If some are that naive not to fight and give everything to the owners is one thing but you can't get mad at the one guy that realizes he is getting screwed over. It's both of their fault imo. Players union for not fighting and the owners for raping the players union. There's plenty of blame but this removes responsibility in drafting and or owners win again... Keep taking money from the players. Where is the responsibility with drafting then?

There's never a bad investment if I can recoup most of my money back if things go sour. It's really a brilliant move for the owners. It removes responsibility.

So you call 47% - 48.5% is getting "raped"? It's more than fair. Both parties are happy. That's the entire point of a negotiation.

It looks like Bosa is more at fault. At the end of the day, he is going to receive less money than the offer he just rejected.

Why wouldn't they just move on without him? Hold onto his rights and let him re-enter next years draft.

These NFL GM's and coaches talk tough and act like they are into discipline and character, then they cave into this madness. Take football away from him and set a precedence so that the next player understands who's in charge. A player that is more focused on $ than football isn't in it for the long haul anyway.

I want guys that focus on becoming a member of the hall of fame or a member of something special like the team of the 80's! T.O was nuts but his drive to be the best WR of his era was evident.
