I guess he looked at our linebacker depth chart vs. the Raiders depth chart and figured he has a better shot there. He was not going to make the 53 man team.

I think the article is inaccurate and outdated (5/10/14). My understanding is that reports were surfacing that Skov was going to Oakland initially but they were refuted by Skov himself when he said he was going to the 49ers.
