EDIT-Fixed link, had the wrong hour up before.
Lol awesome thx
Loved the Ward, Thomas, and Ellington picks.
Liked the Martin and D. Johnson picks.
The rest, I am trying to like... keeping an open mind about.

This was the draft I was hoping for, but wasn't naive enough to expect....

30. Jimmie Ward - CB/S, Northern Illinois
(SF nailed it perfectly!)

56. Cody Latimer - WR, Indiana
(perfect for our WCO, and can still stretch the field)

61. Jimmy Garappolo - QB, East Illinois
(could be the future, if Kaep wants too much or doesn't improve)

77. Phillip Gaines - CB, Rice
(excellent length corner with the speed to keep up with anyone)

94. Trade it for a 2015 upgraded pick.

100. Brandon Thomas - OG, Clemson
(SF nailed it perfectly! heir apparent to Iupati, who we shouldn't overpay)

129. Trade it for a 2015 upgraded pick.

170. Ben Gardner - OLB/DE, Stanford

242. Tyler Larson - C, Utah State

243. Craig Loston - S, LSU

245. Bennie Fowler - WR, Michigan State

1.) Blaine Gabbert, backup QB
2.) Jonathan Martin, backup OT
3.) Stevie Johnson, WR
4.) Marcus Lattimore, RB (redshirt last year)
5.) Tank Carradine, DE (redshirt last year)
6.) Quinton Dial, DE/OLB (pretty much redshirted)

7.) Jimmie Ward, CB/S
8.) Carlos Hyde, RB
9.) Marcus Martin, C
10.) Chris Borland, ILB
11.) Brandon Thomas, OL
12.) Bruce Ellington, WR/ST
13.) Dontae Johnson, CB
14.) Aaron Lynch, DE/OLB
15.) Keith Reaser, CB
16.) Kenneth Acker, CB
17.) Kaleb Ramsey, DL
18.) Trey Millard, FB/HB

Eighteen new players to compete for spots on this roster. Eighteen! This can only help the Niners get better. That's not even counting our UDFA class. Skov and Breslin will make that group interesting at the minimum.

Yikes! My hope is that some really good players show they can also dominate on STs so those roster spots can be more versatile. I love the way Ventrone and Osgood play STs but would love them to be replaced by guys capable of being eventual starters...there are so many of them! Still think they will trade some vets for future draft choices before cut down day.
Just on the mass of talent picked up this was a tremendous draft.

The only thing dumber than the 53-man rule is the 46-man "active" roster on game days. WTF??? You have 53 guys on a roster of one of the most violent sports in modern history, but you're going to force teams to "sit" 7 of those 53 guys every game JUST BECAUSE???

You have 53 men on a roster. Here's an idea: Just allow all 53 to be active on game day.

+1.
I think the NFL should tell the NFLPA that rosters will expand to 70 players if they allow another regular season game and every player must miss one game during the season.
Favorite pick from rounds 1-3 is Hyde. Favorite pick from rounds 4-7 is Ellington even tho he's short for my taste. I wanted Desir CB and Moncrief WR but Marcus Martin was a dam good Center/Guard for USC and center is a position of need so that was a good pick too. The Boreland pick threw me for a Loop. I know He hits hard and fills the holes in the run game but his arms are so short and he's only 5'11 and that scares me. But I will say about Boreland is that he was ONE PRODUCTIVE MF at Wisconsin so I hope he'll fill for Bowman til Navorro is ready.

My Grade is a c+ up from the D+ I originally gave.

And don't forget the injuries.

3.) Stevie Johnson, WR
4.) Marcus Lattimore, RB (redshirt year)
5.) Tank Carradine, DE (redshirt year)
6.) Quinton Dial, DE/OLB (orange shirt)
7.) Quinton Patton (injured)
8.) Chris Culliver (injured) - Last years's projected starter
9.) Ian Williams (injured) - Last year's projected starter
10.) Michael Crabtree (injured half the year) - Last year's projected starter

11.) Jimmie Ward, CB/S
12.) Carlos Hyde, RB
13.) Marcus Martin, C
14.) Chris Borland, ILB
15.) Brandon Thomas, OL - Redshirt

18.) Aaron Lynch, DE/OLB
19.) Keith Reaser, CB - Redshirt
20.) Kenneth Acker, CB
21.) Kaleb Ramsey, DL
22.) Trey Millard, FB/HB - possible redshirt

That's 22 new players.

Upgrades:
#2 QB
#2-3 OT
#3 WR
#1-4 RB - We have no idea what will happen with the running backs.
#3 DE
#4-8 DE
#4-5 WR
#1-2 CB
#1 DT
#1 WR

#1 Slot DB
#1-4 RB
#1 C
#3 MLB
#4-5 WR

The rest will upgrade the depth, either through competition or making the roster.
We are a minus at MLB with Bowman out, everything else though, looks like an upgrade or even wash.

The off-season was such an A+ that it was almost embarrassing for the other 31 teams.

Desir is a scrub lol

Lol D+ and a C+?
Care to elaborate?

There is also Marquardt and Bykowski ... both of them are going to be in the fight for the last OL roster spot.

Make players miss a game? That's weird.
If the players don't want to play extra games, let them not play extra games. Why not? The owners win because they get their extra game(s) and the players win because they don't have to play any more games AND they get more members in the union.

I think that makes a lot of sense. It's like they get an extra bye week during the season.
A game missed by injury could count as the missed game too so there would be less pressure to rush back from an injury (or a concussion). I think this should be done. I've convinced myself
