"but he said Moncrief reminded him a bit of NFL players Demaryius Thomas and Josh Gordon. Read more here: http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2014/02/think-big-a-ranking-of-wrs-who-fit-49ers-physical-style.html#storylink=cpy"
those are the types of receivers I'd want on my team. These types of players are the closest to T.O. I've seen in the league.

He looked awesome today. It would be nice to grab him with our 2nd pick of round 2.. but after today he might go early in the 2nd round

I wanna get him and combine him with Ellington. Use the first for the best DB available.

Here are the fastest time by wide receivers at the combine.
Cooks, Brandin 5-10 189 4.33
Brown, John 5-10 179 4.34
Richardson, Paul 6-0 175 4.40
Moncrief, Donte 6-2 221 4.40
Bryant Martavis 6-4 211 4.42
Janis, Jeff 6-3 219 4.42
We should consider the differences in weights of these guys.
The Speed Score is a tool that combines the 40 yard time and the weight of the players.
Here are the Speed Scores for the same players.
MONCRIEF, DONTE 117.93
JANIS, JEFFREY 114.76
BRYANT, MARTAVIS 110.57
COOKS, BRANDIN 107.53
BROWN, JOHN 100.91
RICHARDSON, PAUL 93.38
[(WEIGHT * 200) / (40-TIME ^ 4) = SPEED SCORE]

Good point lol
What's the likelihood that we trade up to nab Justin Gilbert and snatch a quality receiver with one of our seconds?

We've had tremendous success defensively because of our front seven with good corners. This year we had a top five defense with good not great DBs. Not sure we think we need a first round talent back there on the outside. I think we get Kap the young playmaker in the first round due to the uncertainty of whether Crabtree is here long term. We might nab another safety before we nab a corner if we had to use a first. I do believe we get two corners through four rounds though. I don't know if a first round DB gives us the necessary impact this year like a safety would in our defenseOriginally posted by Imfasterthanur:Good point lol

Good stuff, I definitely value your input.
Perhaps you are right, but I do feel like an above-average to very good cornerback could put our already stout defense over the edge -- giving us more flexibility with out blitz packages (as seldom as we blitz, it's something added); especially if Gilbert can provide an immediate upgrade at both KR and PR duties.

There is the chance he falls to where we feel he is a fit and the BPA in striking range and we bite

I wouldn't be upset if we grabbed him in the first. He is gonna be a good one I think. More like Gibson than Owens to me, but hell...you can't go wrong either way. Forget Cooks, Lee and Beckham as far as I am concerned, Moncrief and/or Matthews are my faves.
