1. Luke Joeckel*, OT, Texas A&M
2. Sam Montgomery*, DE, LSU
3. Johnthan Banks, CB, Miss St
4. Eric Reid*, S, LSU
5. KaWann Short, DT, Pudue
6. Manti Te'O, ILB, Notre Dame
7. Jarvis Jones*, OLB Georgia
8. Keenan Allen*, WR, Cal
9. Bjoern Werner*, DE, FSU
10. Terrence Williams, WR, Baylor
11. Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
12. James Hurst*, OT, North Carolina
13. Corey Lemonier*, OLB, Auburn
13. Barkevious Mingo*, OLB, LSU
14. David Amerson*, CB, NC State
15. EJ Manuel, QB, Florida St

Notes:
-Luke Joeckel may be a surprise to be my #1, but I think he is the clear cut top LT
-I think Banks is the whole package as a CB and is as athletic and physical as and CB in CFB. Throw in a knack for play making ability and you have a top 5 pick
-KaWann Short I think is the top DT, he has both the ability to take on double teams and collapse the pocket or to penetrate and pass rush
-Bjoern Werner has to be one of the fastest rising prospects, guy has been an absoloute non-stop beast
-Star I'm a bit dissapointed with how his season is going
-James Hurst is a guy I'm going out on a limb for, he is a bit inconsistent at times but if he comes out this year you are going to hear a lot of "potential" and "high ceiling" terms thrown at him
-Terrance Williams is a surprise to be ranked so high, and he will probably fall in later rankings. But what I like about him is how strong and physical he is, I tihnk he could be a future YAC monster because he is tough to bring down and fights for yards
-Amerson is a pure ball hawk at corner, but his tackling is piss poor
-thats right, my top QB is EJ Manuel. His combination of size, arm strength, quick release and mobility is truly impressive

Updated rankings:

1. Luke Joeckel*, OT, Texas A&M
2. Johnthan Banks, CB Miss St
3. Manti Te'O, ILB, Notre Dame
4. Star Lotulelei, DT Utah
5. Taylor Lewan, OT Michigan
6. Jordan Poyer, CB Oregon State
7. Jarvis Jones*, OLB Georgia
8. Keenan Allen*, WR Cal
9. E.J. Manuel, QB Florida State
10. Sam Montgomery*, OLB LSU
11. KaWann Short, DT, Purdue
12. Corey Lemonier*, OLB Auburn
13. Tyler Eifert, TE Notre Dame
14. James Hurst*, OT North Carolina
15. Justin Hunter*, WR, Tennessee
16. Jake Matthews, OT/OG Texas A&M
17. Xavier Rhodes*, CB Florida State
18. Andre Ellington, RB Clemson
19. Bjoern Werner*, OLB Florida State
20. Terrence Williams, WR Baylor
21. Eric Reid*, S, LSU
22. Jonathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
23. Geno Smith, QB West Virginia
24. Barkevious Mingo*, OLB LSU
25. David Amerson, CB NC State

Notes:
-Not all players have been ranked. For example, I have not ranked TJ McDonald, Desmond Trufant, Lattimore, Johnthan Franklin, Alabama O-Line ect.
-David Amerson is falling like a rock, got abused against Ten.
-Mingo/Montgonmery are also falling
-Geno Smith, I don't quite get why people are predicting him #1. He could because he is a QB and they are almost always over drafted. But his physical attributes are not on par with #1 QBs.
-EJ Manuel is still my top QB. He isn't putting up eye popping stats, bur he reminds me of a more athletic/faster Roethlisburger.

I look at Amerson highlights and he is getting burned badly on nearly every play. Should I post this on the site?

Sure. I think there is speculation he may be dealing with a hamstring injury or something because he has been getting burned.

I was never too big on him because I always thought he plays to soft of coverage, to off on WRs
Desmond Trufant is looking really good to me.

Sfout, in regards to your list of Purdue players, Dwayne Beckford is unlikely getting scouted by us. He's been kicked off the team since the start of the season. He had talent, but was always in trouble. I highly doubt we'll go anywhere near him.

A guy to add to the list is Antavian Edison, a WR. He'd be a good camp body and might be a steal. He's under-utilized in Purdue's offense cause we have no QB to get him the ball and use his speed. But he still leads the team in yards and TDs.

Not saying we need RBs, but another guy to add would be Ralph Bolden. He's only played 2 games this season after coming back from his 3rd ACL tear, but was very talented when he could stay healthy. He was a Gore type runner, same size, and doesn't dance just hits the holes. He'd be a guy that you bring to camp and see what he still has left in those legs. To get a real picture of what he could do, his Soph. year was the only time was healthy and wasn't sharing carries. He was 3rd in the Big10 in rushing and had 11 TDs too.

word, I haven't watched them play and just pulled from an outdated list.
Don't watch must college football, and I'll assume our first 2-3 picks will be Defensive side of the ball.

I think we'll be looking at the toughest, meanest guys out there, not the most technically gifted with high stats. Remember Aldon was picked mostly because he bullied some guys up with a broken leg, and Kilgore was picked cos he was a mean sob.

Just my guess but that whole build a bully quote and our previous draft picks have got me thinking this what we look at first and foremost

Its all good. I'm a Purdue fan, and unfortunately have had to watch them this year (they are a team with talent, just no coaching). So that's why I was giving my assessment of who I thought we'd be looking at on the team.
Some players I'm interested in. DT and safety seem to be strong this year, and could be a nice target for rounds 1-2. I'd also love to get a tall WR and some OLB depth in 3-4.
Safety
T.J. McDonald Southern Cal 6-2 205 4.52
Kenny Vaccaro Texas 6-1 218 4.57
Bacarri Rambo Georgia 6-0 210 4.54
Robert Lester Alabama 6-2 212 4.59
DE/DT
Jesse Williams Alabama 6-3 320 5.04
Josh Boyd Mississippi State 6-3 300 4.96
Kawann Short Purdue 6-3 315 5.16
Sylvester Williams North Carolina 6-3 320 5.08

WR
Marcus Davis Virginia Tech 6-4 232 4.44
Rodney Smith Florida State 6-5 219 4.63

OLB
Ezekiel Ansah BYU 6-5 270 4.74
Washington, Cornelius Georgia 6-4 268 4.68
Travis Long Washington State 6-4 245 4.76
