Late round sleeper wrs.

Not much video on this guy, except for two sweet one handed catches. Small school, big guy. Worth a shot in the late rounds?

UCLA aint a small school. He had a decent year this last year too, great hands and good height. I'm surprised he didn't get a combine invite. Will have to see how he runs at his pro day. 4.5 or under could be like a 6th rounder or something IMO, 4.6 or above and he would be an UDFA.

Oops brain fart. Duh they're pac-12 :/. Shows how much I pay attention to college ball normally, I'm just not used to hearing much about ucla prospects.

He could be a good late 6th to compete for a spot and provide depth.

loll Yeah I think that he can actually be a good player. He played with such bad QB play and a wacky offense that he didn't really get a chance to catch a lot of balls. But he definitely has some ability and he can block too.

FCS Level WR that got overlooked.

Alot of people will say he didnt play any competition, but he roasted Trumaine Johnson for 113 yards and a touchdown, and he is ranked by most in the second round i beleive..

really? Seriously, link or dont believe. I would kill for him if he actually has a 2nd round grade.
Trumaine Johnson has the second round grade, sfout, (the CB that he scorched) sorry for any confusion, didn't word that post greatly. I think he will be drafted by someone in the late rounds, but could also go undrafted. This Kid is getting soooo overlooked its crazy. I want him bad and would spend a pick o him to prevent him from going to seattle, who im sure has had a good look at the kid being hes a regional player.

Not flashy, throws the ball to the ref everytime he scores and heads to the sideline like hes been there before.

Yep ive been in that thread talking about him, Check about two pages back in this thread and i posted a couple highlight videos for him....IMO His 2010 highlights are just as impresive as his 2011 highlights....watch this kid lay DB's out when he has a chance.....love it.

I am a fan of Picking Elvis Akpla in the 7th or as an UDFA but i can tell you that he never burned Trumaine Johnson, They played 1 game against each other this past season and the Griz won 36-10 over Akplas' Bob Cats. Akpla was matched up for most of the game against CB Houston Roots or if he ran short routes across the middle one of the Griz LBs would pick him up. Trumaine Johnson only covered him if Elvis was lined up on the far Left side of the Field. Come the 4th Quarter the Griz played more zone so Johnson wasnt on him much at all at that point.
My point is that Akpla had a great game against Trumaine Johnson's team but not against Trumaine Johnson himself. plus losing 36-10 to the Griz in the process.

Belcher I don't think is that big. Did a little more reading and it looks like he's actually a shade under 6-3. More like McNutt size.

nvm then

Thats Not Trumaine Getting scorched by Elvis at about the 1 minute mark? If Elvis had gone to a bigger school he would be being talked about as a top 3 WR in this draft.

That would be the 1 play against johnson he caught the ball. The other 3 times it was thrown to elvis with johnson they where deflected or great coverage for incomplete pases. Read the play by play. Roote had elvis most of the game
But yet he had over 100 yards and a TD and the one TD was against Trumaine, where he absolutely works him. Besides that its not like Denarious mcghee exactly lights the world on fire with his accuracy.

Look im not saying that Trumaine isaint a good corner, on the contrary i think he is. Im simply saying that Elvis got the best of him considering the circumstances.

Thats saying more about Akpla than it is about trumaine. Its not a knock on trumaine just a positive for akpla.

I think that's because they wouldn't give him a scholarship though right?
