I grade Justin Houston higher than Ayers. If we trade back, he could be the guy.
Both are tremendous football players but I think we would get better value in Houston, who exploded once Georgia shifted to a 3-4 and he played OLB in the system, putting up incredible numbers and an outstanding combine workout.
Justin Houston's 2010 stats: 18.5 TFL, 10 sacks, 14 QB Hurries, 2 Forced Fumbles, 1 Fumble recovered (ran back for a TD). 1 INT
Combine Numbers:
- Weighed in at 6-3 270 lbs.
- Clocked 4.65 in the forty yard dash.
- Put up 30 reps of 225 on the bench.
- Posted a 36 1/2 vertical.
- Posted a 10'5" broad jump. (almost identical to Von Miller and Dontay Moch)
- Recorded 4.37 shuttle time, and 6.95 3-cone time (fantastic for a 270 pounder)
Houston recorded a TFL in every game this season and had a streak of five straight games with a sack, four of them being against SEC opponents.
