Rules are simple. 8 division - 8 GMs.

1. Of course - no trades between the same division rule applies.
2. With no CBA in place, refrain from trading players for a draft pick.
3. We will stop at the end of 3rd round, and if everyone wants to do another round, we will continue.
4. For now, there is no time limit. If this drags on, there will be a time limit.

With the 1st Pick of the 2010 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers pick:
Marcell Dareus, DT/DE, Alabama

explanation: DT is one of their biggest needs and i prefer Dareus over Fairley b/c he could play both tackle-positions in the 4-3, imo.
Furthermore, there isnt any QB worth a 1st ovr in this draft.

Interesting. I think some GMs will have Dareus rated over Fairley. I still think Bowers or Cam Newton are more likely, but Dareus is a stud, who can anchor that line for years.
fairley is too light and too small imo...that was the crucial fact for me. you have to know that the panthers not only had a terrible interior d-line but they dont have ANY DTler under contract right now.
according to some panthers' fans, hardy was emerging and there is still hope out there that charles johnson will come back. but in general, yes, bowers is very possible either.

qb 1st ovr by panthers: i just cant adapt to the thought that the panthers draft a qb here, and newton in particular...

now, i am a little bit surprised that the bills didnt draft newton.

Yea, I can see Dareus making it all the way to the no.1 pick. Panthers are one of those team that don't like drafting a QB high, so I too doubt they will go with Cam Newton.

Peterson is the best player in the draft.
at least, it makes much much more sense than the spiller-pick last year.

If you want to compete in that division, you need pass-rush and CBs on defense against Brady and Sanchez. They will get a QB sooner or later.

hey, i am against a newton-pick that high...and i know that the bills have a very nice shot on several qbs with their 2nd-rounder...

I'm a fan of Cam Newton - but bigger fan of Patrick Peterson. - I think he is an all-pro type of player, and in a division that has Revis - it's fitting to have another all-pro type CB

It hurt passing him up but Denver has no DL at all. Nice pick dude.

I couldn't pass on Peterson. Fairley was so dominant all year, I personally wouldn't mark him down because of combine. Plus, he ran a ridiculous time. He has amazing quickness, and Denver all of a sudden could have a dominant young DL if Ayers can start producing as well. I think a switch to 4-3 will help him.
