I want Peterson and Von Miller gone before our pick. So, that we may have a GM with some solid marbles to pick up Robert Quinn. Welcome to 49ers!

My first choice is Peterson as well but will most likely be gone. Which means we can settle for Prince or go with a safe pick of Miller.
But I want a true difference maker... I believe that will be Quinn. He does not sound like a thug to me. Just a dumb young kid that made a mistake. I want a Super Star with our 7th pick... I want a linebacker that will go and HURT someone. That is QUINN!

Did you see how Miller attacked Sherrod in practice. He'll hurt someone too as he applies leverage to his tackles especially against the QB. He truly know leverage and angles. He can do this already at 237. Imagine what he can do at 248 or even 250.
His speed is amazing and stood out amongst the talent.
He would "fit" so well in Fangio's scheme. He's my fav for sure. I know about Quinn and his physical traits, both would be welcome as Niners.
One will for sure.

What I love about Quinn is, he puts all 260lbs (and more) in his tackles and hits. He is relentless, he is great against the run, and what's most impressive is - his awareness. He is just a junior, and he is great at anticipating what's going to happen. Very high football IQ.

Only thing I have a prob with Quinn is he always runs around the tackle to get to the QB. That being said teams would kill us trying to run inside of him. Yes his speed and burst off the ball is good but it also sets up to take your self right out of the play. You can see it in the video above me and its like thats his only move he does to get to the QB. Yes it works but I dont see it working in the NFL consistantly. I want to see different moves to beat his man. I still like the guy dont get me wrong but if we draft him I will not frown at all.

Like you I am totally sold and drooling over the idea of Von Miller playing for us!!!
As for Robert Quinn, I love the kid's story and he definitely had some good production, but i don't see him as a dynamic pass rusher. He doesn't get a very good jump, from what I've seen (which is not enough), and doesn't possess that same elite quickness I see from Miller.

Von Miller is my pick at OLB but we got to wait until the Combine and Pro Day to see what Quinn has and how he performs. Unfortunately Von Miller hype will probably die down a bit but he should be our pick at 7 if available IMO.

It is a different situation with Quinn at OLB. The dline will do the majority of the dirty work. Lane integrity will not be as high a priority in the 3-4. Quinn will be in better situations to make plays and will be more free to run into the opponents' backfield.

So what if always goes topside?? Justin Smith is still powerful enough to go through his guy. Does that type of play sound familiar? It should, Dwight Freeny and Robert Mathis play that exact way. One always goes topside to force the QB into the other pass rusher.
Quinn and Kerrigan are my favorite DE/OLBs in the first round. If for some ungodly reason we don't pick Quinn we'd better trade back for Kerrigan.

That is always a concern with d-line / rush linebacker prospects coming out of college. What I did like about the videos I did see though is that once O-linemen got their hands on him as he was turning the corner, he was still able to either get there or disrupt the play. That's huge because he won't always be able to run by O-lineman without getting touched in the NFL.
Now, does he have a bull rush and / or an inside move? I'm not sure.

He has played only 2 years in college, whereas Von Miller is coming out as a Senior - so naturally Von will and should be more polished. Quinn doesn't have as many moves as Von, but he has already shown that he can beat the OL with speed and with combination of speed and power.
Him being a wrestler only means that the guy has strong, powerful arms and hands, and understands leverage. That is the most important aspect when playing at DL in NFL - which is why I'm convinced that with the right coaching - Quinn will be an unstoppable force at the next level.
Think DeMarcus Ware type athlete. There is no question he is raw, but he understands the basics of football.

You can't really say that. It's like alex smith his potential is higher, but will he ever make it. After all quinns been through i think he will be a great player in the nfl. Also think he's more of the complete player, he'd have a learning curve to olb, compared to miller...
Miller only does one thing. Run the arch, i think he's light reminds me to much of manny lawson!
Either way, i want cameron jordan cal, God him and justin smith would just pwn. We'd be a 3-4 like the chargers were your front 3 get all the pressure. I'm sick of watching issac do nothing in the passing game he's a below avg starter. Franklin and Justin are above avg we have a chance to get younger and more talent on are dline and a starter day 1 no learning curve...
