Frisco69er Mock Offseason 2.0

Alright guys: we finished 6-10

GM- Trent Baalke
HC- Jim Harbaugh
Defense: 3-4

Resign:
C/G David Baas
QB Troy Smith
FS Dashon Goldson (not givin the starting job, 3rd S)
RB Brian Westbrook
LB TKO (2yrs)
DE Manny Lawson
OG Tony Wragge
DE Ray MacDonald (man is a beast)
NT Franklin (Franchise)

Cut/Release:
DE Evans (has done nothing)
OT Sims (lost a step, 36)
K Nedney (may be done for his career, great 49er though)
QB Alex Smith (project is over, he goes to MIA)
QB Nate Davis (new staff doesnt drink the koolaide)
DE Parys Haralson
Cb Will James (trash, plus he is hurt all the time)
FS Curtis Taylor

Free Agents:

QB Donovan McNabb WASH (West coast offense master, holds the job for 1-2 years while Devlin develops)
WR Steve Smith CAR (fast, good hands and runs great routes)
RG Logan Mankins NE (big money, stabilizes the O-Line)
CB Eric Wright CLE (gets cut b/c of injuries but when healthy he is a good CB)
OT Tony Ugoh IND (labled bust, but still very raw/young 25, and with good coaching could give us good depth)

Trade: OG Chilo Rachel to WASH for 4th round pick

Trade: 2012 2nd round pick to Bufalo for their 2011 3rd

DRAFT:

7th: CB Prince Amukamara Nebraska 6-1 200 (total lockdown CB, pushes Nate to be the nickle CB where he can focus more on hitting and disrupting the middle)

2nd: OLB Jeremy Beal Oklahoma 6-3 263 (replaces Haralson as the other starting passrusher/OLB)

3rd (BUF): NT Sione Fua Stanford 6-2 308 (Harbaugh guy, future NT replacement for Franklin, always comands a double team)

3rd: RB Noel Devine WV 5-8 175 4.31 (Think McCluster, matchup nightmare, game breaking speed, only reason he falls is b/c of injury and size)

4th: QB Pat Devlin Delaware (delevoped Qb with good coaching and insticts, also has good accuracy and a big arm)

4th (WASH): ILB Scott Lutrus UCONN 6-3 245 (great tackler and gives us more depth at ILB behind Willis)

4th: S Jeron Johnson Boise St 5-11 200 (gives us great depth at S and replaces the bum/often injured Curtis Taylor)

5th: FB Owen Marecic Stanford 6-2 245 (Future FB in new system/Harbaugh's guy)

6th: CB Darrin Walls ND (good hitter and is the 6th CB)

7th: WR Armon Binns Cinncinatti 6-4 201 (reciever with some height, and nice hands)

GOALS ACCOPMLISHED:
1) Get some decent coaching for once
2) Make this Defense NASTY again
3) Fix the Secondary
4) Get a QB to develope with great tools
5) Fix the Gap at RG
6) Draft a Passrusher early

Steve smith isn't a FA
Eric wright is a FA, so he won't be 'cut', and he was one of the worst cbs In the nfl this year, while healthy.

And chilo bringing you a 4th round pick is a joke.

Eric will be cut, and secondly Chilo is still very young and the dumb redskins make moves like this all the time

oh and the Skins have a new good GM now.
Pretty decent overall. That Chilo trade is a pipe dream though. And i seriously doubt that they carry 4 rb's so I wouldn't resign Westbrook. If you draft Devine there is your speed back right there. And I TKO has played well but I would give him a 1 year deal each year. And what's the point of re signing Goldson if the guy is being demoted? Might as well move on with the other guys and try to sign a guy who can upgrade the position. And I would rather them go after Jonathan Joseph or Richard Marshall before Eric Wright. I like all the free agent moves, but I would look to pick up a veteran safety if possible.

I can see the NFL changing to a 61 man roster, just adding the practice squad to the actives and dress everyone.

You think Eric Wright is a good Cb 'when healthy (which he was the first 11 or so games), I couldnt talk smack about a pro GM. No one is trading for Chilo, especially not a 4th.

when the McNabb trade went down nobody thought it was a bad deal at the time, and it wasn't all on McNabb. And a 4th for a probowl LT is still a deal.

Being from Ohio I'm completely against Eric wright being anywhere near our roster. He may be the worst starting cb in the league.
