we would not have gotten bryant anyways..
i really doubt he makes it passed both the broncos AND the seahawks second pick...
and there is no way we would have used 13 on him...stop pipe dreaming

With 2 first round picks, this may be a luxury we can afford.
I don't think there's any chance he falls, but just want to gauge how people view need vs talent
Crabtree, Davis, Bryant, and Morgan would be INSANE!......if we had a OL to block long enough to give them the time to get open.
until this team shores up the OL, we got 8-8 over and over and over again. period.
im so glad you guys dont run this team. people make fun of Al Davis for drafting like this.

The line issues will get worked out. I'm all aboard with taking Dez at 13 if he's there. Like I've been saying, he's one of those special freaks you don't pass up.
Besides, Josh Morgan did nothing last year to impress me. He's a far weaker link than most people here are identifying him as. Crabs and Bryant make each other megastars if we take him.

people don't make fun of al davis for drafting GOOD players they make fun of him for drafting guys like Heyward-Bey and Russell. And wasn't the whole reason we were excited about Solari coming on board, was that we would finally not have to waste 1st day picks on guys anymore, that we could do like the "old days" and "coach em up"
I mean we have invested A LOT into the line in the past decade and look where that got us. When exactly would be a good time to start adding skill players again? When the line is fixed? Its been seven years and the things still not fixed. The whole idea that we could somehow have too many playmakers simply baffles my mind, does anyone remember our dynasty teams?
If there were a guy who they loved offense or defense who they thought could be a difference maker, would you really want to pass that up for a Right Tackle? Not even the premier tackle spot. Now there is no disputing we need a tackle but that is no reason to reach or take a lesser player just to get a tackle, if faced with the choice between a lesser tackle and a difference maker at another position, take the difference maker and don't look back.

lol what? the line issues will get worked out? how, by magic? "one of those special freaks you dont pass up on". you mean like VD and Crabtree? we still finished 8-8 because our OL is horrible. wake up dude, we dont need any more playmakers, we need some anchors on the line.

for the simple fact that WR is probably our least pressing need this year, i say DONT take him unless its at 17 or later if we trade back....but yeah, it would be sick lol

If there are no tackles at 13, I'd be fine with taking him.

But what do you do if the best player at a skill position (Haden, Spiller, Bryant, etc.) is sitting on the board and the 4th or 5th best linemen is all that is left? Because that is the issue we could end up facing.
If there's a stud lineman then that would be a no brainer. But should we reach for a guy just to fill the need if the guys that we like (i.e. The Big 4) our gone?

the low levels of some peoples football IQ on here baffles me. its not a fun pick, but OL is key to winning. sometimes you have to use an early pick on a franchise T because itll pay off down the road.
going "dez bryant is a FREAK! hes AWESOME! whooooo!!" is so ignorant. this team isnt lacking for a Dez Bryant, its lacking for a franchise OL. if Bulaga fell to 13, i would have no problems if we took Iupati at 17 as well. get this joke of a line shored up once and for all so we can finally win the division already.
our line has been the issue all along, time to finally address it. i hope the Niners have figured out after drafting a QB, a RB, a WR, and a TE to be difference makers, the reason we STILL arent making the playoffs is because weve ignored the OL.

were in a spot where we have to draft for need this year. we just traded for Ginn, so Spiller would become just a backup RB. we already have a stud RB, so using the 13th overall pick on a backup who would at best be a timeshare guy in a couple years is a waste.
i have no issues with Haden because its a need. we need OL first, DB second. i think its fairly clear that this teams major focus should be the OL. statistically speaking our line was one of, if not the worst overall line in the NFL last year. with young talent like we have, its inexcusable to let the line continue to be a joke.
every year we put off fixing the line is a year of playmaking talent wasted around the ball.
