Sing singles out Running Back and OT

I'm becoming more and more convinced that we will be taking a running back (Spiller, Best, McCluster) with 1 of our first 3 picks. OT is a gimme pick with 1 of our first 3 picks at this point in the game. So why do i think this? Aside from me not being blind, mike sing has said as much.

We can go back all the way to the combine of last year when Sing said this:

Q: Do you envision a two-back set with Frank Gore?

Singletary: I would think when you look at Frank Gore, Frank is a special running back. I'm very excited about the way he runs, his running style and what he brings our the team. And the physicality that we're talking about, that's what Frank is. But I think it would help to have someone come in and share that load, maybe someone who has a different style - someone who adds another dimension to our running game. That would be very advantageous for us.

Clearly this was not solved with the addition of Coffee who if anything is very SIMILAR in running style to Frank.

FURTHERMORE, Sing was on KNBR the other day and spoke a minute about the combine. He wasnt directly asked what position he was looking to draft, but rather what does he look for at the combine. He then proceeded to say, paraphrasing, that when he looks at a Tackle or a Running Back, he looks for... Now i couldn't help but think, why would he mention ONLY those two positions specifically? It's not a particularly deep class at RB, so why would he mention that position? Perhaps it was Freudian Slip? I like to think yes. Then again, maybe im just reading too much into it all. Lack of football makes me paranoid? IDK.

Valid question. I think Scotty makes 3rd round picks and on. Sing should and will have more input on 1st and 2nd round picks.

So 7 were poop. Actually Barlow wasn't poop initially. For a season or so he looked quite good. Until we needed him.

No, the poster is cool.. 3rd rounders, aside from Gore, not so much.. I think we should just trade the pick so we don't whiff again.

Our 3rd round track record is bad. Good teams don't miss on 3rd rounders as often as we seem to..
