Right? I've never heard anything other than him being loved by his teammates.

It really can't be argued that he'd be a big upgrade to Mullens, Rosen, and Beathard. If not Jimmy...

The only thing closer to cancer I've heard him say was that when he came to Denver he insinuated he wasn't going to be taking a rookie QB (Lock) under his wing because he still felt he was a starter and it's a competition. Now... after losing that starting role again he may have changed that attitude and come to terms with being a back up for the rest of his career.
I'd take him over Beathard or Mullins but that really isnt saying much...

Not a cancer. He didn't like the idea of mentoring a guy that was gunning for his job, but he and everyone else knows he's not a starter anymore.
My issue is that he was complete trash in Denver. He didn't even seem interested in the game. I understand the team wanting a veteran, but Flacco can't be the best option.

Flacco might not be the best fit, but he's part of the plan.

He couldn't find a better team to spend a few years as QB2. The team is loaded in offence and KS calls the plays. Thats a QBs dream.

Interesting, hopefully we can find a link to this?
Flacco is better than CJ and Nick for sure. Not much of a a risk here

My link is I live in Denver and listen to the sportstalk radio out here which quoted him but Im sure it is in an article from when he first joined the Broncos too. And I meant "close to cancer" not "closer to cancer" which may have changed the insinuation. I dont think he is toxic but I also dont think he is gonna jump at the chance to take anyone under his wing. I took last year off from football so that may have changed after Lock officially took over.

Did we sign this guy yet?
If he knows why he is coming in (back up and mentor role) and wants to come along for a super bowl ride and possible playing time WHEN Jimmy G goes down...then yea let's bring him in. We have done a lot worse.

Didn't him and Fangio get into some public back n forth? Seems like i remeber Flacco throwing the whole coaching staff under the bus after a game last year. Never heard of him being a locker room cancer tho

Maybe they want Flacco to come in mentor the new rookie that is about to take over. If the Niners get their QB in the draft, They are going to want a vet to back him up.
