49ers hosting Flacco

Depth. He's going to be a backup with plenty of starter experience plus he probably will have one of the better supporting cast around him since his days with Baltimore. Meh signing if it happens but its better than getting trubisky or giving up assets for darnold.

Is he really thought at this point in his career. I wouldn't think so

juice went to bat for him. he is 36 and probably has no ego to bruise anymore. the team just signed a scrub wide out and a bunch of posters are going to bat for lynch on that.. to me. a vet back up qb with a decent nfl resume. which is something we do not have. is needed behind jimmy. i just think some people who do not like this potential signing are just pissed cuz they know if we sign joe. that means jimmy stays and is the starter. no names mentioned but their initials are 85

For me, I dont like this potential signing because that means there is no room in the QB room for a rookie. I understand Jimmy will most likely be our starter next season.

Maybe I am in the minority but I would have preferred Trubisky over Flacco. Trubisky has way more talent at this point in his career. Buffalo got him for just 2.5M too.

Trubustky is a weeping willow too afraid to take anything more than a dump off pass. At least Flacco gives you a guy who will take a chance.

I agree. We carried 3 QBs last year right? No reason they cant have JG, a vet backup, and a rookie on the roster.

Trubisky has no talent lol. Flacco at least is a serviceable vet and has proven to play well, even if it isn't spectacular. Trubisky has been unimpressive all his career.
