we have 30mill in cap space if we cut Ford and Rich

Gould is at 5 mil if we keep his option (decision to made this week i heard)
Trent W.. gonna be around 15 mill

so that leaves about 10mill to sign 18 starters/Depth positions

1. Your numbers aren't proper. Also, you have no clue what the cap will be next year.
2. I'd advise you to look at AB's posts where he walks through the cap and how it works. We can extend players like Warner/Williams AND make cap room for 2021 while doing it. There will be more than enough money to re-sign our priority players.
I do have a clue, the CAP is at 175 mill right now until it's not.

How does warner save cap room for 2021, extending him would add more dead cap with guaranteed money
Williams is off the books in 2021, how is extending him save us cash in 2021

The cap isn't set at $175 million for 2021. That's the FLOOR that the NFL and NFLPA agreed to. Meaning that's as low as it can possibly go. There is no cap set yet. There are several news stories that have said recently that it may end up around $195 million.

In regards to contract structures, I'd suggest you visit the thread AB started on the salary cap and read through it. He does a great job explaining it better than I can.

I said that Williams/Warner will get cap friendly extensions for 2021. I said that we can extend both AND make cap room WHILE doing it. The way we make cap room WHILE doing it is by restructuring Richburg, Ford, Jimmy G and/or others. I didn't say it would save us cap room in 2021. You obviously read it the wrong way.

I didn't say the cap was set. That 175 is the cap right now until its not. This years NFL revenue will take a hit as the main revenue was from TV and the TV ratings are lower this year.

I've gone through that thread, all the resigns are the bare minimum. Jeff wilson staying for 920k, Jordan reed satying for 850k and others doesn't sound too realistic.. if the CAP does go higher than 175, def those players will want more cash

Restructuring is a bad way to work the books

The problem is you are contradicting yourself. On one had the cap isn't set but you want to believe that it's "$175 million until it isn't." By your own logic, the cap right now would actually be $198.2 million in your figurative world since that was the figure this year and that's what it is until it isn't.

Look man. Seriously. I'm not trying to be a tool. But trust me, AB's stuff is realistic. We won't have a problem resigning and extending our guys. Don't worry. Now we may not bring back Sherman and if that upsets you, so be it. We could can Jimmy G then trade for Matthew Stafford AND save money by doing it.

how is the cap 198 right now when the NFL already agreed it can be lower and 175 is the lowest it can go? why not say the CAP will be the same as 2020 ?

Mostert complained and got a pay raise, Wilson who is now going to be the 2nd RB and posibly the 1RB if mostert can't stay healthy going to want to play for pennies ?

AB numbers are not whats going to happen, but a perfect world scenario that everyone will play for less than what they feel they are worth. Which no one does unless they have been out of the leauge or near it.

hopefully the CAP doesn't change, but to prepare like it wasn't is setting yourself for failure

Ok this is my last response. The reason they set a minimum is because they had to. Going into this season, they didn't know if there was going to be a shortened season or even one at all due to the questions surrounding COVID-19. They had no clue what revenue was going to be. So they set a floor. You can keep believing that it will be $175 million (the lowest it can possibly be). That's your right.

How about this? We will monitor this thread and your predictions and compare them with AB's after the fact. Fair enough? I can almost guarantee you that the salary cap will NOT be $175 million for 2021.

You can monitor it, doesn't make what I said untrue.

even the CAP sites have the cap starting at 175, until its not

Niners need a part-time Pass Rush STer like this Dennis Gardeck guy, #45 from Arizona. He ended the season with 7 sacks in only 94 snaps, that's a sack in every 13 snaps. STer gets paid to contribute to.

Please, Lynch, sign a real good CB/DB to help out Verrett, Moseley, Ward and Moore...
Ryan Kerrigan wants to be a starter and that's not happening in WFT. He definitely can be a starter here. Hopefully he takes that consideration when deciding where he wants to play.

Kerrigan would be very nice.

Yeah he is a guy I would def be sniffing around, fills a need. Has something left to prove, ,might want to come to a winner rather for the first time rather than chase a huge pay day.
