Our coaching staff doesn't treat FA veterans with injuries well ala Edwards and Jacobs. I think Asomugha will be more of a professional and won't make a big scene or anything. The interesting part will be if activate him next game or not. Morris and Cox contribute on STs, while Asomugha does not.

So far the backup nose tackle is playing better than the starting nose tackle.

Looking at just completion % allowed doesn't tell you much without knowing the circumstances. I know a lot of people here don't agree with PFF's grading, but if he was allowing 40% completion because of his good play, he wouldn't be rated so poorly.
Again, I tried to explain on the other page how the rankings really work. His low completion percentage is due to great coverage, but his low rankings is due to his missed tackles. And I'm sorry, one of the missed tackles was on the Wilson run where he barely got a hand on him. Not sure how that is a missed tackle, but either way his grade from PFF doesn't really tell the entire story.
The missed tackle on Wilson was not really his fault. Nnamdi blitzed from the corner but read screen to his sides so he stopped and picked up the RB to deny the screen. Wilson just ran towards Nnamdi to make him declare on to the RB or QB. Either way he was going to give up some yards.

Exactly, and that play alone would have given him a negative grade regardless of the fact he allowed 0 catches on 2 targets that game. I love that site for their stats, but that's about it.

The thing is Nnamdi is healthy enough to go but he still isn't getting the nod. That is telling as they want Brock to take over for the rest of the season. Now, of course his performance against the Texans will be the key but he if he does play well? Fair to say he will be the NB for the rest of the way.

I fear we will get burned a lot with Brock at CB. He looked good in STL, but they have hardly any weapons IMO. Cook is a little overrated. Givens, Quick, Bailey, and Austin are not impressive yet.
Lets see how he does lined up against Andre Johnson, if active, he is questionable, but he will play. Our CBs suck, plain and simple. Nnamdi isnt the player he once was. Not just Philly, it was him too. Brown is not playing with his head, he is thinking $$$ signs. Rogers is decent, he held his own against Austin. Cox I haven't seen much on defense. I hope Eric Wright is activated soon. I wanna see what we have. Maiocco thinks he returns as a starter next year. If so, I would welcome it, at the right price. If he plays well, he is a $3M a yr CB. Not the $7.75M he got from Tampa a few offseasons ago.
Lot of question marks in the secondary. Only Reid, Spillman, Dahl, Rogers, and Morris are signed past 2014. Nnamdi, Brock, Cox, Brown, Whitner are unsigned for 2014. All be it, Cox is a RFA, and his tender will be near Brock's, which is easily doable. Whitner I would like back, but the numbers(and I mean Money) aren't gonna allow it, unless we hold off on extending Kap or Aldon. Brown will bolt for money elsewhere. One source told me, he wasn't happy with his contract situation. Do the lost $2 Million dollars.

I don't understand why the secondary gets so much heat. You do realize we rank one of the best in the league AGAIN, right? Yes, we have a lot of question marks for next season, but everyone has been solid thus far. No one will mistake the secondary for the Seahawks, but they are the scapegoat quite too often.

We are 3rd in passing yardage allowed in the NFL. We are about 19th in rushing yards allowed per game though so we need to shore that up quick this week

Well, run defense isn't as bad when you look at the YPC statistic. Our problem in those two games was the offense failing to sustain any drives. That wore the defense down and ended up skewing the numbers. Hopefully we will be back to our best VERY soon!

i think its just because the DB miscues stand out when people think or the secondary

We must release Nmandi because he is suck at cb.. He is kinda 4th or 5th place at CB.. Brock is played a great defense and very improve a defense for us! Then We should trade Nmandi other team..

Depends what the financial impact would be. He made the opening roster, so as a vested vet his salary is fully guaranteed. Should double check with AB on that. Tough pill to swallow if we have to eat over $1 million.

Ok, Alright bro.. I wonder why, Nmandi failed for Eagle teams when they don't make a playoff because bad affect his team defense. He is really embarrassing cuz he was an ego but he is still suck! He got trouble for us a defense and bad affect our defense cuz I realize it and nocited already it. I think, We must want Nmandi stay bench!!!!! We have a better much defense right now!
