that is not nor should it happen in my opinion

It was a stupid and immature thing to say and let me know when Culliver somes back and atones for that crappy Super Bowl.
Potential is great but he wasn't stellar during the regular season and he was terrible when it mattered most. I don;t want to see him cut but I am not going to praise the guy until he deserves it.
Sweet lets just get our future starting safety in the draft and we set

We're not going to find anyone of Goldson's caliber at this point. At least not someone that will have an immediate impact next season. I expect the team to draft a safety this year, but chances are he's going to play like any other rookie. What we need is someone to come as close to Goldson's playmaking abilities as possible. Lets remember that our other safety was the weak spot, so we're already depleted in this dept. Woodson can serve as a bridge to the future. Not saying he'll be as good as Goldson, but he could serve as a mentor to our draftee.

cully gets moved to fs

The only reason I don't think that will happen is because both nnamdi and Brown will be free agents next year. If we move cully to fs we will be looking for two corners next off season. I think we draft a fs and cully stays at corner. I don't think we will be able to afford Brown and nnamdi will not stay past this year.

What number will he wear?

we're gonna cut Gore or Dixon depending on what number he chooses.

I'm very happy the front office was able to get this done...please now sign Woodson....or like someone suggested, move Cully to Free Safety. I know some don't believe in Brock, but I think he will step up along with Cox.
I really do not think the niners or anyone has any interest in woodson, i think we have shot our wad on free agency and i really really think they are fine with getting two rookies in the draft, throwing who they got together in a pot and let the best man come out to play safety,, i am really fine with that. i really do not think we can afford woodson or anyone else right now

I actually agree with this. Would like to see us draft a S and DL at 31/34. We could really use a 1st round talent S and a nice DL rotation/depth/future guy.

I dont think it's gonna take a real big contract to keep Brown.

there were lots of mistakes made by everyone in that game so to single out culliver is illogical. garrison hearst said the same thing about gay people but i do not recall anyone wanting to ride him out of town. the kid attoned for it, did his public service and deserves a second chance. if you want to start a list of players and coaches who have to attone for crappy super bowl play,, its a pretty long list. what he said is over, the super bowl is over and he deserves a second chance

i just want to find someone who can be respectable against the run and pass, not make drive extending penalties for the other team and make an open field fundamental tackle. i think you can find a rookie safety who can start right away. it would not be a first in the history of the nfl
