I was watching NFL live right now and on their ticker at the bottom it showed these FAs.
DL/ Kevin Carter, Vonnie Holliday, Dwayne Robertson
LB/ Derrick Brooks,Junior Seau, Marcus Washington, Willie McGinest
DB/ Chris McAlister, Adam Jones, Sam Madison, Ty Law, Patrick Surtain, Dexter Jackson.
Now these are some big name players here. I have a hard time believing that none of these veteran guys can help a young team.
I wouldnt mind seeing what McAlister has to offer(He is only 32).
I dont know, I guess I am just thinking out loud.

Is that free agent list or a social security roster?

LOL, I know they are old but heck even TO is 35 and still ripping up the league. McAlister is also younger than Walt Harris by almost 3 years.
They are pretty old though.

There's a lot of wear and tear in that list.

I know what you are talking about.
I have been watching football for 30 years now.....and the list of FA's each year in August always surprises the hell out of me. I remember when these guys were rookies...and there names are so familiar to me I tend to associate them as they are still in their prime.
I finally arrived at this conclusion. Players can lose the ability to play at a pro level almost over night

McAlister's ego is bigger than his talent.

I think Willie McGinest is in his 50's. J/K but it seems like he's been around forever.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Robertson can do in rotation. My father-n-law (Huge Broncos fan) said he was pretty decent against the run. Anyone live in Denver can chime in on this??

First off let me start by saying f**k the Broncos, but i thought thats why the broncos released this guy is because he was doing anything against the run, unfortunatley ive watched alot of bronco gamesand i just dont remember him doing much

What also led me to ask this question is because in my 2008 Lindy's mag, it has Robertson rated in the top 10 for NT (During his time with NY Jets, and right before they picked up Jenkins). Then Denver releases him when they switch to a 3-4....WTF.
