The guy with the 12th pick wants to trade for my 1st overall pick. What do you think I should ask for?
12-team league
15-round draft, "snake" style

What is a fair trade for the #1 overall pick?

get as much value as you can.
I would ask for his first three picks or the first 2 and like a 4th or 5th rounder

really hard to pull of a trade for the 1st overall if you own the 12th IMO

Your 1st round pick (#1 overall) and 5th round pick (#49 overall)
His 1st round pick (#12 overall) and 2nd round pick (#13 overall)
I think that's pretty fair...I'd push for more (maybe something like, his 1st, 2nd, and 4th for your 1st, 5th, and 7th) but yeah

you are essentially giving up AP, so think of what players you can get with the picks you trade for
In other words, if you are trading your 1st round pick for his 1st and 2nd round pick, then projected from 10-14 on yahoo is
Alfred Morris
Trent Richardson
Dez Bryant
Steven Jackson
Would you trade AP for 2 of those players?
If not, don't do the trade

I always propose trades where I get as little value as I can.
