San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is dealing with a shin contusion and has been limited during practice this week. That probably won't keep him out of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, though. "I'll be ready for Sunday," Samuel said after practice. "We're just taking our time. Just had a shin contusion, so just taking it slow, but we'll be ready." That's good news for the Niners. Samuel is the team's leading receiver, and his 979 receiving yards rank second among all NFL receivers this season. After struggling through injuries last season, the wideout has made a significant leap in his third year. Many, including Samuel, credit one player's influence for that leap as an offensive weapon. Samuel doesn't typically give long

The 49ers are being cautious with rookie running back Elijah Mitchell, who sustained a finger fracture during Monday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams. He had surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage. Today, general manager John Lynch said Mitchell's availability against the Jaguars would be a game-time decision. "I think that's something that you take all the way [to game time]," Lynch said on KNBR. "He's earned that right, even as a rookie, to take it all the way down to game time. We've got to get

This news shouldn't come as much of a surprise. The NFL announced that it has flexed the Week 13 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field out of "Sunday Night Football." While the 49ers are getting hot and are 5-5, the Seahawks are an abysmal 3-7. So the game doesn't have as much appeal as the NFL once believed it might. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Running back Elijah Mitchell is still in a blue no-contact jersey, per the only reporter on hand to watch Friday's practice, Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Mitchell is still recovering from surgery to repair a finger fracture. I was the only reporter on hand for the early portion of practice, which either means I'm incredibly dedicated or I'm a massive loser. (Please don't answer which).
