The end of the 2022 season brings a whole new set of questions for the San Francisco 49ers -- questions that will start to get answered in the weeks and months ahead after looming large in the locker room following their NFC Championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The 49ers have a number of players slated for free agency and will have to make some tough decisions on who will stay and who will go. Two of those players -- offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey and defensive back Jimmie Ward -- spoke about their futures on Sunday while also reflecting on their time with the 49ers.
We'll talk about what McGlinchey and Ward said Sunday, as well as a number of other topics in this version of 49ers Notebook. We'll also dive into what happened to Nick Bosa

The San Francisco 49ers have officially ruled out quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for this weekend's NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles. That wasn't unexpected. The chances of the former starter suiting up for Sunday's playoff bout, backing up rookie Brock Purdy, were slim.
"Yeah, it's just been an outside chance the whole time, and that was still an outside chance," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday, before that outside chance turned into no chance.

That probably won't be this week, though.
Last week, head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that the quarterback probably wouldn't be ready for an NFC Championship Game appearance. However, Garoppolo suiting up for the Super Bowl, should the 49ers make it that far, might be more likely.
On Monday, Shanahan was once again asked about Garoppolo's recovery and

The New York Jets will likely be looking to upgrade the quarterback position by bringing in a veteran after seemingly misfiring with Zach Wilson. Internally, one of the options being thrown around is San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Of course, he isn't the only option in what should be an intriguing offseason of potential quarterback moves.
"According to sources, the Jets will be looking closely at [Aaron] Rodgers, Jimmy Garoppoloand Derek Carr," wrote Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. "They won't limit their search to just those three quarterbacks -- and sources stress it's still early in the process --
